QA Team Lead / Project Coordinator for Restaurant POS System

ABOUT THE PROJECT GenOne POS is an evolving restaurant management and point-of-sale system. The product includes a web interface, an Android application, and kiosk solutions supporting daily restaurant operations, including floor plans, tables, and reservations. A distributed development and QA team works on new features, system improvements, releases, and ongoing product support. ABOUT THE ROLE We are looking for an independent, detail-oriented QA Team Lead / Project Coordinator to combine hands-on QA leadership with practical project coordination. The role is approximately 50% QA coordination and 50% project coordination. This is an operational leadership role, not a Head of QA or senior portfolio PM position. The successful candidate will keep tasks, priorities, quality, statuses, and communication organised without constant supervision. KEY RESPONSIBILITIES QA coordination: • Assign and prioritise QA tasks and monitor workload, deadlines, and test coverage. • Review testers' work, test cases, checklists, and bug reports. • Coordinate regression testing and verification of resolved issues. • Evaluate testing quality and provide practical feedback to QA team members. • Identify quality and release risks and escalate them early. • Perform hands-on testing when additional validation is required. Project coordination: • Join daily project calls, normally 30–50 minutes, and maintain a clear view of project status. • Work closely with the Business Manager on new features, changes, and priorities. • Turn discussions and requirements into clear, actionable tickets. • Create, update, prioritise, and track tasks in ClickUp or a similar system. • Follow up on development and QA progress, dependencies, deadlines, and blockers. • Keep developers, testers, and stakeholders aligned. • Provide clear and accurate status updates to the client, manage expectations, and avoid surprises. • Support product demonstrations and maintain essential project documentation when required. REQUIREMENTS • 3+ years of hands-on software QA experience. • Experience coordinating testers, assigning work, and reviewing their results. • Practical experience with task planning, prioritisation, progress tracking, and blocker management. • Good understanding of software development and testing lifecycles. • Experience with ClickUp, Jira, or a similar task-management system. • English at B2 level or above. • Strong ownership, attention to detail, reliability, and proactive communication. • Stable remote working setup and availability for agreed team hours and daily calls. NICE TO HAVE • Experience with API, mobile, or SQL testing. • Understanding of test automation principles. • Experience with client communication, product demos, or distributed international teams. • Russian language skills are an advantage but are not required. WORKING CONDITIONS • Fully remote, long-term contract. • Full-time workload. • Rate: USD 8–12 per hour, depending on relevant experience. • Regular collaboration with an international client and a distributed development and QA team.
