Tech Ops Assistant

About the Role We're looking for a Tech Ops Assistant to support our technical and customer support teams. This role sits at the intersection of data, business logic, and third-party integrations — ideal for someone who enjoys solving data puzzles and doesn't just fix symptoms, but understands why the data broke in the first place. What You'll Do Support the tech and support teams with day-to-day operational and data issues Write and troubleshoot T-SQL queries against SQL Server databases Cleanse, sanitize, and periodically audit data to prevent downstream issues caused by bad or inconsistent data Manage and troubleshoot 3rd-party integrations (e.g., IDOE, Wise Data, and similar state/education data exchanges) Investigate data-related tickets, trace root causes, and implement fixes — not just patches Learn and apply business rules specific to our SIS (Student Information System) platform to guide data corrections Collaborate with support and engineering to flag recurring data quality issues and suggest process improvements What We're Looking For Strong analytical thinking and attention to detail Solid SQL skills — comfortable writing and debugging T-SQL in SQL Server Experience cleaning, sanitizing, or auditing datasets Familiarity with SIS/SaaS platforms is a strong plus Experience with education data integrations (IDOE, Wise Data, or similar state reporting systems) is a plus Ability to understand business logic behind data, not just the technical schema Comfortable working independently to trace and resolve data issues end-to-end
