Technical Apparel Designer Needed for Innovative Maternity/Lounge Midi Dress

I am a self-funded entrepreneur looking for an experienced apparel technical designer to create a complete, factory-ready Tech Pack for a single style: a premium, minimalist, maternity-to-postpartum lounge dress. The design requires experience with heavyweight knit fabrics (such as bamboo viscose or modal interlock) and clean, hidden-seam construction. This dress features a unique, proprietary structural utility component built into the seams that requires an understanding of fabric tension, elastic recovery, and weight distribution. Full proprietary details, sketches and utlity concepts will be shared with the selected freelancer after an initial screening interview and the execution of a Non-Disclosure Agreement (NDA). Scope of Work and Deliverables: The final factory-ready Tech Pack must include: 1) Technical Flats (2D line drawings): front, back, side and detailed inside-out views. 2) Construction Detail Page: Exploded/close-up diagrams detailing the internal expanding pocket mechanism, hidden seam assembly and tension anchors. 3) Bill of Materials (BOM): Specifications for primary fabric, pocket mesh, thread types, and care labels 4) Sizing and Grading Chart: Sizing parameters across 4 alpha sizes (XS/S, M, L, XL) with specified tolerances for high-stretch knits. Freelancer requirements: - Intermediate to Expert level experience in apparel technical design. - Strong background in activewear, shapewear, maternity, or functional/utility clothing. - Must provide examples of actual Tech Packs in your portfolio (not just fashion illustrations) Milestone Payment Schedule: To ensure a smooth, collaborative process, this contract will be managed via the following fixed-price milestones: - Milestone 1: Concept Review & 2D Flat Sketches (25%--$100) - Milestone 2: First Draft Technical Specifications (50%--$200) Deliverables: Full internal construction schematics, specific stitch callouts, initial sizing/grading charts, and first draft of the Bill of Materials. - Milestone 3: Final Approved Factory-Ready Tech Pack (25%-100) Deliverables: Delivery of the final, polished Tech Pack (PDF and source files, e.g., Adobe Illustrator/.AI format and vector graphic files) incorporating all feedback. This final milestone will be released after thorough review.
