Technical Graphics Coordinator EastCoast MuralPros | NextGen WallPrinting Position Description Role Summary Interpret client-supplied architectural drawings and site photos to produce scaled graphic layout files for direct-to-wall print installations. Deliverables include mock-ups for client approval, production-ready layout files with precise measurements referencing on-site obstacles and architectural features, and final print-ready image files prepared to production specifications. Core Responsibilities Receive and review architectural drawings (floor plans, elevations, detail sheets) and site photography from the sales / project management team. Extract relevant dimensions, surface details, and obstacle locations (outlets, fixtures, trim, signage, windows, doors, etc.) from these materials. Create scaled layout files that position the graphic on the target wall surface, clearly annotating measurements relative to obstacles and architectural features identified in site photos. Produce client-facing mock-ups (photo composites or rendered previews) showing the proposed graphic in context. Prepare final print-ready image files based on approved layouts and mock-ups, including proper scaling, resolution, color mode, and file formatting to meet production specifications. Develop a working understanding of the wall printing system’s capabilities and limitations, including printable area constraints, margins, and any mechanical or environmental factors that could affect install, and incorporate these into layout and file preparation decisions. Revise layouts based on client feedback and internal review. Collaborate with the print team to ensure layouts are practical and print-ready. Required Skills Proficiency in Adobe Illustrator for vector-based layout and artwork preparation Ability to read and interpret architectural drawings (plans, elevations, sections) and extract usable dimensions Experience producing scaled technical layouts with dimensioned annotations Strong spatial reasoning: translating 2D drawings and reference photos into accurate, production-ready files Competence in image file preparation: resolution management, color mode conversion, and export to production specifications Willingness to learn proprietary print technology and adapt layouts to its constraints Preferred / Bonus Skills Graphic design ability (not required, but a valuable addition) Adobe Photoshop for photo composite mock-ups and image preparation AutoCAD or similar CAD software for working directly with .dwg / .dxf files Experience with large-format or environmental graphics production Familiarity with architectural or interior design terminology CorelDRAW, Affinity Designer, or other vector layout tools
