Technical Illustrator – Construction Products & Building Systems Performance Building Solutions (PBS) is seeking an experienced Technical Illustrator with a background in construction, architecture, engineering, or building products. We are looking for a professional who can transform technical information into clear, visually compelling graphics for marketing, engineering, sales, and educational purposes. Construction industry experience is required. Please do not apply if your experience is limited to general graphic design or marketing materials without a construction, engineering, architecture, or building products background. Typical projects include: • Technical diagrams of building systems • Product cutaway and exploded views • Wall assembly illustrations • Pod and panel construction details • Technical infographics • White paper graphics • Website technical illustrations • Build Show and IBS marketing materials Requirements: • Experience creating technical illustrations for construction, architecture, engineering, manufacturing, or building products • Ability to read and interpret technical drawings and engineering documents • Understanding of construction terminology, scale, and proportions • Strong attention to detail • Ability to communicate technical concepts visually Preferred Software: • Adobe Illustrator • AutoCAD • SketchUp • Blender • 3ds Max • Photoshop To apply, please provide: Portfolio of technical illustration work Examples related to construction, architecture, engineering, manufacturing, or building products Your hourly rate Brief description of your relevant experience IMPORTANT: Applications without a portfolio will not be considered.
