Technical Product Owner

Technical Product Owner (AI-Assisted Product Development) We are looking for an experienced Technical Product Owner to work closely with our product leadership team. This is a hands-on role for someone who can translate business requirements into well-defined product specifications, challenge assumptions, and ensure engineering teams have clear, complete, and actionable requirements. The ideal candidate has a strong technical background, excellent product thinking, and is comfortable using AI tools to improve the quality and speed of product discovery and refinement. Responsibilities • Review, analyse, and refine user stories and product requirements. • Work with AI tools (such as ChatGPT, Claude, or similar) to improve story quality and identify missing requirements. • Identify edge cases, technical constraints, and business scenarios. • Collaborate with UX designers and challenge design decisions to ensure the best user experience. • Develop a deep understanding of the product, workflows, and underlying technical architecture. • Write clear acceptance criteria and ensure stories are ready for engineering implementation. • Collaborate with engineering teams to clarify requirements throughout the development lifecycle. • Help prioritise the product backlog and improve overall product quality. Required Skills • Experience as a Product Owner, Technical Business Analyst, or Technical Product Manager. • Strong understanding of software development and Agile methodologies. • Ability to understand system architecture and technical trade-offs. • Excellent analytical and communication skills. • Experience working with AI tools for documentation, analysis, or product management. • Ability to think critically and proactively identify gaps and risks. Nice to Have • Experience with SaaS or ERP products. • Familiarity with Jira, Confluence, Figma, or similar product management tools. • Technical background in software engineering or solution architecture.
