Summary

Technical Project Manager About the Role We are looking for a highly organized and proactive Technical Project Manager to manage complex implementation projects involving clients, internal teams, developers, data teams, vendors, and senior stakeholders. A major part of this role will be attending technical and client meetings, identifying decisions and action items, assigning clear owners and deadlines, and following through until every open item is resolved. This is not a passive meeting coordinator or note-taking position. We need someone who can understand technical conversations, identify what is still unclear, translate discussions into executable project plans, and ensure that important tasks do not get lost after the call ends. The ideal candidate is comfortable working across data integrations, system implementations, software platforms, file transfers, testing cycles, technical requirements, and business operations. You do not need to be a software developer, but you must be able to communicate effectively with technical teams and ask the right questions. What You’ll Be Responsible For Meeting and Action-Item Management Attend client, technical, implementation, and leadership meetings Prepare agendas and identify decisions needed before each call Capture decisions, requirements, open questions, risks, and action items Assign a clear owner and due date to every action item Send concise meeting summaries promptly after each call Follow up with stakeholders until all commitments are completed Escalate overdue or blocked items before they affect the project schedule Maintain a clear decision log so teams do not repeatedly revisit resolved topics Project Planning and Execution Build and maintain detailed project plans from discovery through launch Translate technical discussions into tasks, milestones, dependencies, and deadlines Coordinate work across clients, developers, analysts, vendors, compliance teams, and leadership Track progress against planned dates and implementation milestones Identify schedule risks and recommend practical mitigation plans Confirm that requirements are sufficiently defined before development begins Adjust timelines based on resource availability, technical findings, and approved scope changes Keep projects moving without waiting for constant direction Technical Coordination Coordinate technical activities involving data extracts, ETL processes, APIs, SFTP, CRM systems, data warehouses, and third-party platforms Work with technical teams to clarify source systems, file structures, field mappings, business rules, and delivery methods Confirm that teams understand what information, credentials, access, or approvals they need Track technical questions through resolution Facilitate communication between technical and nontechnical stakeholders Identify when additional technical, security, compliance, or business input is required Ensure technical decisions and configurations are documented clearly Requirements and Documentation Document functional and technical requirements in clear language Maintain project charters, requirements documents, decision logs, risk registers, and action trackers Confirm approved scope, assumptions, exclusions, and acceptance criteria Track unresolved questions involving data, privacy, compliance, security, and business rules Ensure that changes discussed during meetings are reflected in project documentation Create process maps, SOPs, implementation notes, and handoff documentation Maintain a reliable central source of truth for each project Testing and Implementation Develop and manage testing plans with internal and client teams Coordinate sample-file testing, system testing, validation, and user acceptance testing Track defects, feedback, corrections, and retesting Confirm that each testing cycle has clear owners and acceptance criteria Manage readiness checklists for production launches Obtain documented stakeholder approval before go-live Coordinate historical data loads, incremental processes, catch-up activities, and post-launch validation when applicable Monitor early production issues and ensure they are assigned and resolved Risk and Stakeholder Management Identify blockers, risks, assumptions, and unresolved dependencies Communicate project status clearly to senior stakeholders Hold internal teams, clients, and vendors accountable to agreed deadlines Escalate issues professionally and with appropriate context Explain the impact of delayed decisions or missing information Keep leadership informed without overwhelming them with unnecessary detail Build strong working relationships across technical and business teams What We’re Looking For Strong ownership mentality and consistent follow-through Exceptional organizational and project-management skills Ability to turn long, complex discussions into clear next steps Confidence following up with senior leaders, clients, and technical stakeholders Strong written and verbal communication Ability to identify ambiguity and ask precise follow-up questions Comfortable managing several projects and competing priorities Ability to understand technical concepts without needing to perform the development work Strong judgment regarding what should be resolved in a meeting, handled offline, or escalated Ability to work independently in a fast-moving environment Detail-oriented without losing sight of overall project goals Required Qualifications 3+ years of experience in technical project management, implementation management, consulting, business analysis, or a related role Experience managing projects involving multiple organizations or cross-functional teams Experience preparing project plans, meeting notes, action trackers, risk logs, and status reports Experience managing requirements, testing cycles, deadlines, and stakeholder approvals Familiarity with software implementation or data-integration projects Strong proficiency with project-management and documentation tools Excellent professional writing and communication skills Preferred Qualifications Experience with healthcare, regulated data, privacy, or compliance-related projects Familiarity with ETL workflows, SFTP, APIs, data extracts, data warehouses, or system integrations Experience with Salesforce, Epic, Monday.com, ClickUp, Asana, Jira, Smartsheet, or similar platforms Experience coordinating developers, data engineers, analysts, security teams, and business stakeholders Experience with file specifications, field mapping, data validation, and incremental data processes Familiarity with Agile, Waterfall, or hybrid implementation methodologies PMP, Scrum, or similar project-management certification This Role Is a Strong Fit for Someone Who Leaves every meeting knowing exactly who is doing what and by when Notices when a question was discussed but not actually answered Follows up consistently without needing to be reminded Can respectfully hold senior stakeholders accountable Understands the difference between a decision, assumption, risk, dependency, and action item Can communicate with both technical teams and business leaders Enjoys creating order from complicated conversations Takes responsibility for moving projects forward rather than simply reporting that they are delayed What Success Looks Like Within the first six months, the Technical Project Manager will: Establish a consistent meeting and action-item management process Ensure every project has an accurate plan, owner structure, decision log, and risk register Reduce missed deadlines caused by unclear ownership or incomplete follow-up Improve communication between clients, technical teams, and leadership Ensure requirements are documented before development and testing begin Provide leadership with reliable project status and risk reporting Help technical implementations move from discovery through testing and launch in an organized and predictable way To Apply Please submit your resume and answer the following questions: Describe a complex technical project you managed from planning through launch. How do you capture and manage action items after a meeting with many stakeholders? Tell us about a time you had to follow up repeatedly with a senior stakeholder to protect a deadline. What experience do you have with system implementations, data integrations, SFTP, ETL, APIs, or CRM platforms? What project-management and documentation tools do you use most often? Provide an example of a project risk you identified early and how you handled it. How do you ensure that decisions made during calls are documented and carried through to execution?
