Technical Recruiter — Aerospace & Engineering (Contract)

We're a boutique recruitment agency partnering with a fast-scaling aerospace engineering client that is significantly expanding its hiring. We need an experienced technical recruiter who can move quickly, source aggressively, and keep pace with a growing volume of senior engineering roles. What You'll Be Recruiting For Senior-level aerospace and engineering positions, including roles such as: • Senior Embedded Systems & Controls Engineers • Reliability Test Engineers • Mechanical Engineers • Other specialized technical and engineering roles as the account grows These are niche, high-bar roles with a thin candidate pool. Strong proactive sourcing is essential — inbound applicant flow alone will not fill these seats. What You'll Do • Own full-cycle sourcing for a portfolio of senior technical engineering roles • Build targeted candidate pipelines using LinkedIn Recruiter, Dice, and other sourcing tools • Conduct phone screens and qualify candidates against detailed technical requirements • Submit candidates quickly — we target three quality submissions per role per week • Manage candidates through a structured, multi-stage interview process (resume review panels, technical interviews, case studies) • Keep pipeline data current and communicate status clearly and proactively What We're Looking For Required: • 3+ years of full-cycle technical recruiting experience, ideally in engineering, aerospace, defense, or a related technical field • Proven ability to source passive, hard-to-find senior technical talent • Comfort interpreting complex technical job descriptions and speaking credibly with engineering candidates • Strong proactive outreach habits — you pick up the phone and move fast • Experience with LinkedIn Recruiter and boolean sourcing • Self-directed and accountable — you manage your own pipeline velocity without being chased Nice to Have: • Experience recruiting embedded systems, controls, reliability, or mechanical engineering roles • Familiarity with Greenhouse, Dice, and modern sourcing tools • Background working with U.S.-based engineering or manufacturing clients • Experience navigating sponsorship and right-to-work screening on technical roles Engagement Details • Contract / freelance, remote • Ongoing, consistent volume with room to grow as the account expands • Availability during U.S. business hours strongly preferred given client and candidate time zones
