Job Title: Technical SEO Expert Needed for Laravel Job Board – GSC Cleanup, Crawl Budget, Internal Linking & SEO Migration Strategy Job Description: I am looking for an experienced Technical SEO specialist to review and rebuild the SEO structure of an existing Laravel-based job board platform. This is not a basic SEO keyword, backlink, or WordPress plugin job. The platform currently has serious Google Search Console and indexation issues, including: - Large number of non-indexed URLs - 404 and soft 404 pages - Duplicate and canonical URL problems - Noindex and low-value generated URLs - Excessive internal linking - Around 1.2M internal links discovered - Sitemap quality issues - Crawl budget being wasted on useless, duplicate, broken, or non-indexable URLs - Automatically generated job, location, and category pages that need to be reviewed - Planned rebrand and migration from the old domain to a new brand/domain The goal is to clean and rebuild the SEO architecture step by step, not to blindly repair or migrate the broken structure. Important: I do not want a 1:1 migration of the current SEO mess to the new domain. The new SEO strategy must be clean, controlled, scalable, and safe for Google indexing. Main Tasks: 1. Google Search Console Review - Review current GSC performance and indexing data - Identify why many URLs are not indexed - Review 404, soft 404, duplicate, canonical, and noindex issues - Separate valuable URLs from useless/generated URLs 2. Technical SEO Audit - Audit the current Laravel job board SEO structure - Review URL structure - Review internal linking logic - Review sitemap logic - Review canonical tags - Review robots.txt - Review index/noindex rules - Review job, location, and category pages 3. Crawl Budget Optimization - Identify which URLs are wasting crawl budget - Recommend what should be blocked, noindexed, removed, or redirected - Reduce unnecessary internal linking - Make sure Google crawls only valuable pages 4. Internal Linking Cleanup - Review the current internal linking system - Identify why the system generated around 1.2M internal links - Recommend a cleaner internal linking strategy - Internal links should point only to important, useful, and indexable pages 5. Sitemap Cleanup The sitemap must contain only canonical, indexable URLs. Do not include: - 404 pages - Duplicate pages - Filter URLs - Search result URLs - Noindex pages - Empty pages - Low-quality generated pages - Pages without real content The sitemap should help Google understand the preferred canonical URLs. 6. 301 Redirect Strategy Use 301 redirects only for valuable URLs. Do not redirect every broken, duplicate, filtered, noindex, or useless URL. Only URLs with real SEO value should receive a proper 301 redirect, such as: - URLs with traffic - URLs with impressions - URLs with backlinks - URLs with rankings - URLs with useful content - URLs important for the business Each valuable old URL must be mapped to the closest relevant new URL. Do not redirect all old URLs to the homepage. 7. SEO Rebuild / Migration Strategy I am planning a rebrand and migration from the old domain to a new domain. I need a controlled SEO migration plan that avoids transferring the broken SEO structure. The new domain should have: - Clean SEO architecture - Clean sitemap - Controlled indexing - Proper canonical rules - Proper redirects - Reduced internal linking - Scalable structure for jobs, locations, categories, and content pages 8. Developer-Friendly Recommendations I need clear technical recommendations that can be given to my Laravel developer. The final output should not only be a generic SEO report. It must include clear instructions for what the developer needs to fix. Required Deliverables: - Full GSC technical SEO review - Crawl budget analysis - Internal linking audit - Sitemap cleanup plan - Canonical/noindex/duplicate URL recommendations - 404 and soft 404 cleanup recommendations - 301 redirect mapping strategy - New SEO architecture recommendation - Migration plan from old domain to new domain - Developer-ready action list - Priority list: urgent / important / later - Clear explanation of what should be indexed and what should not be indexed Important Requirements: Please apply only if you have experience with: - Technical SEO for large websites - Job boards, marketplaces, or platforms with automatically generated URLs - Google Search Console indexation issues - Crawl budget optimization - Canonical and duplicate URL problems - Sitemap cleanup - 301 redirect migration planning - Internal linking cleanup - Laravel or custom-coded platforms What I do NOT need: - Basic keyword research only - Generic SEO reports - Backlink packages - Blog writing only - Local SEO only - “I will install an SEO plugin” type of work - Automated Semrush export without real analysis Before I give access, I need you to explain your approach. Please answer these questions in your proposal: 1. Have you worked before on technical SEO for large platforms, job boards, or marketplaces? 2. How would you investigate 1.2M internal links discovered by Google? 3. How would you decide which URLs should be indexed and which should not? 4. How would you handle 404, duplicate, canonical, and noindex issues? 5. How would you create a clean sitemap strategy? 6. How would you decide which URLs deserve a 301 redirect during migration? 7. Have you handled domain migration or rebranding before? 8. Can you provide developer-ready SEO instructions, not just a generic report? Project Type: One-time project with potential ongoing work after the first audit and migration strategy. Access: Initial review should be safe and controlled. No live changes should be made until the scope and recommendations are approved. Budget: Please provide your fixed price for the first phase, including audit, strategy, and developer-ready recommendations. The first phase should focus on diagnosis, SEO architecture, crawl budget, sitemap, redirect strategy, and migration planning.
