Technical SEO / Schema Markup Fixes for a Healthcare Website
Worldwide
Squarespace Developer — Technical SEO / Schema Markup Fixes for a Healthcare Website Project overview MindSeed Health is a Toronto-based virtual psychotherapy practice (Squarespace site, live at mindseedhealth.com). We recently completed an SEO/GEO audit and have a specific, prioritized list of technical fixes. We need a Squarespace developer who knows the platform's quirks — Code Injection, the 7.1 Developer Platform, template-level customization — to implement them correctly. This is not a content or copywriting role; it's structured data, on-page HTML/schema fixes, and redirects. Scope of work 1. Structured data (JSON-LD via Code Injection) - Add MedicalBusiness/LocalBusiness schema sitewide: business name, address, phone, hours, and our service-area cities (Toronto, Brampton, Mississauga, Hamilton, Scarborough, Richmond Hill, Vaughan, Etobicoke, Markham, Oakville, Burlington). - Add Person schema for ~20 clinician bios (name, credentials, specialty) — on the /team page and each individual bio/condition page. - Add FAQPage schema on our /faq page and relevant condition pages. - Add Review/AggregateRating schema reflecting our current Google Business Profile rating (4.6★, 11 reviews) — this rating is already displayed as a graphic on some pages, it just isn't machine-readable. - We currently have zero schema beyond a generic sitewide WebSite tag, confirmed by inspecting the JSON-LD on multiple pages — you're starting from scratch. 2. Fix a widget that's breaking our H1 tags - We have at least two ticker/carousel widgets (a "Direct Billing Available" scroller on one page, a testimonial/rating scroller on another) that are firing multiple duplicate H1 tags instead of using non-heading markup. One page has 15 H1 tags where it should have 1. - Need this identified, fixed on the pages we know about, and audited across the rest of the site (20+ condition pages) for the same issue. 3. On-page fixes across ~20 condition pages - Audit and fix missing meta descriptions (at least one confirmed page has none). Audit and add missing image alt text (confirmed 8 of 17 homepage images missing alt text; likely more sitewide). - Set up a 301 redirect from one page (/trauma) to a near-duplicate page (/trauma-ptsd-therapy) to resolve keyword cannibalization — the second page gets 400x the search impressions of the first. 4. robots.txt cleanup - Confirm and clean up the current robots.txt (Squarespace's default template) so AI crawlers (GPTBot, ClaudeBot, Google-Extended, PerplexityBot, etc.) have explicit Allow rules rather than just being un-blocked by omission. Low effort, but we want it done correctly and documented. Deliverables All schema markup live and validated (Google's Rich Results Test / Schema Markup Validator, zero errors) on: homepage, /team, /faq, and all condition pages. Ticker/carousel H1 issue fixed sitewide, confirmed via a quick before/after audit (one clean H1 per page). Meta descriptions and alt text complete across all pages, delivered as a short spreadsheet of what was found and fixed. /trauma redirecting cleanly (301, not 302) to /trauma-ptsd-therapy. Updated robots.txt reviewed and confirmed not blocking any content page. Brief written handoff: what was changed, where, and any Squarespace limitations we should know about going forward. Requirements Proven Squarespace development experience — specifically Code Injection, JSON-LD implementation, and 7.1 Developer Platform if applicable. Comfortable reading/writing JSON-LD schema.org markup without a plugin (Squarespace has no native schema editor). Experience with technical SEO audits — can independently find issues like ours, not just fix ones we hand you. Please share 1–2 examples of schema markup or technical SEO fixes you've shipped on a Squarespace site. Nice to have Experience in healthcare/wellness or another regulated/YMYL (Your Money or Your Life) industry, where accuracy and clinician credentialing in schema matters. Familiarity with Google Search Console — we'll want to sanity-check impact together after launch. Timeline Target: complete within 1-2 weeks of start. (Preference for ASAP) To apply please include: A short note on how you'd approach the H1/ticker widget issue on Squarespace specifically. Links or screenshots of schema markup you've implemented on a past Squarespace project. Your estimated timeline and rate for the scope above.
