Technical Support Engineer (Node.js) — UAE-Based, Contract

We're looking for a UAE-based contractor to support our education technology platform, focused on customer data onboarding (rostering) and ongoing technical support. What you'll do: - Validate and clean customer-submitted data files against our standard format - Run our existing command-line scripts to process data and set up accounts - Track and log issues through our ticketing workflow - Provide ongoing tech support / help desk coverage Must Have: - Comfortable working in the command line / terminal (running Node scripts, environment variables) - Node.js and npm (able to set up a local environment) - Git / GitHub - Experience with Jira or a similar ticketing system (e.g., Trello) - Strong attention to detail for data validation - 1+ year of tech support / help desk experience Nice to Have: - Comfortable reading and running TypeScript scripts - AWS Details: - Location: Must be based in the UAE - Engagement: Hourly, part-time, ongoing This is intermittent, part-time work that varies with the school calendar — busier around back-to-school, quieter otherwise. We'll start with a short paid trial processing sample data to establish a working pace, then move to ongoing hourly work.
