Technical consultant for mechanical engineering

Mechanical Engineering Consultant – Product Design & Analysis Overview We're looking for an experienced mechanical engineer to provide consulting support on product design, structural analysis, thermal systems. This is a contract engagement with flexible hours. Scope of Work Review and validate engineering designs, drawings, or specifications Perform calculations, simulations, or FEA analysis as needed Provide written recommendations, technical reports, or design feedback Collaborate async via messages and scheduled video calls Requirements Degree in Mechanical Engineering (or equivalent demonstrated experience) Proficiency in CAD tool: SolidWorks / AutoCAD / Fusion 360 / etc. Experience with HVAC / robotics / consumer products / industrial machinery / etc. Ability to deliver clear, documented outputs Nice to Have PE license or equivalent certification Experience with GD&T, DFM, or DFMEA Prior Upwork or remote consulting experience Engagement Details Contract type: Hourly or Fixed-price (specify) Estimated hours: 10 hrs/week Duration: Ongoing Location: Remote, US-Only How to Apply Include in your proposal: Relevant project examples or portfolio Your hourly rate or fixed bid
