Technical illustrator for medical device installation diagrams (4 diagrams)
Worldwide
We're a Canadian medical device company looking for a technical illustrator to create four clean diagrams for a product pre-installation guide. The guide helps clinics and their plumbers prepare a treatment room before our equipment arrives, so the diagrams need to be clear and easy for a non-engineer to follow. About the project The product is a treatment table used in colon hydrotherapy clinics. The four diagrams show where the table's service connections are, how to bring the equipment into the room, and how everything is laid out once installed. We've already done the thinking. There's a detailed brief that spells out exactly what each diagram should show, with all measurements and labels provided, so you won't be guessing at content. Your job is to turn that into clear, professional artwork. The four diagrams: Connection point locations, a measured front view Room access requirements, a corridor and doorway plan Room layout, a top-down floor plan Room perspective, a 3D-style view of the finished setup and the most detailed of the four Style Clean vector line illustrations, professional and uncluttered, in the spirit of clear IKEA-style instructions. They should be readable by a plumber or a clinic owner, not just an engineer. We'll provide our brand colours to match. The perspective view will need light shading to read well; the other three are simpler line work. Deliverables Editable vector source files (AI, SVG, or layered PDF) plus high-resolution exports (PNG or PDF) Transparent backgrounds Designed to read clearly at about 3.5 to 4 inches wide and to scale up cleanly What we'll provide A detailed written brief covering all four diagrams, plus equipment photos, our current rough drawings for reference, and our colour style guide. These will be shared with shortlisted applicants so you can see exactly what's involved before committing. Budget and timeline This is a fixed-price project with a budget around $700. We'd like to run it in two milestones: a concept stage to confirm the style and the composition of the perspective view, then final delivery. Please plan for two to three rounds of revisions. We're aiming to wrap by mid-July. To apply Please share a portfolio with examples of technical, installation, instruction, or assembly-manual illustrations, line-art or vector. A short note on how you'd approach the set, especially the perspective view, is welcome. We're looking for clarity and accuracy over decorative style.
