Technical sewing/pattern illustrator – flat construction diagrams for sewing pattern booklet

JOB TITLE Sewing pattern technical illustrator needed — indie pattern launch OVERVIEW I'm launching a sewing pattern line under my brand Usefulbox and need step-by-step construction illustrations for the first pattern (PJ shorts). I'm looking for someone with experience in garment construction/technical sewing illustration — not fashion sketching. WHAT I NEED Approximately 8–12 step-by-step construction illustrations showing how to sew a pair of PJ shorts. Steps will be provided as a written brief — you'll be illustrating each one. Style reference: Helen's Closet patterns, Friday Pattern Co., Chalk & Notch — clean, modern line illustration style. TECHNICAL REQUIREMENTS • PNG with transparent background (300dpi minimum for print) • SVG files also provided if possible • Must clearly show right side vs wrong side of fabric • Clear use of arrows and notations legible at small print sizes • Illustrations will be used in a digital/print PDF pattern booklet laid out in Canva IDEAL CANDIDATE • Portfolio includes garment construction drawings (not just fashion illustration) • Experience with indie sewing patterns a big plus • Comfortable working from written step descriptions • Responsive and open to one round of revisions PROCESS I'd like to start with a paid test illustration of one step before committing to the full project.
