About the project I run content for Frienemi — a tennis matchmaking app ("Friend off the court. Enemy on it."). It's one-tap matchmaking that pings rated rivals at your skill level so you can find a real opponent fast, climb leaderboards, and earn bragging rights. I'm building a content channel around it and need a skilled short-form editor to join my pipeline on an ongoing basis. The content blends real tennis footage (me playing, drills, challenges) with meme-style humor, reaction beats, and fast comedic edits — energetic, personality-driven, internet-native. What you'll be editing Raw clips of me playing tennis (rallies, serves, challenges, on-court moments) Reaction and "hook & pivot" style segments Meme overlays, captions, sound effects, and trending audio Interview-style talking-head footage Mixed cuts combining several of the above into one short video Responsibilities Cut raw footage into 30–90 second vertical (9:16) videos Add captions/subtitles, zooms, sound effects, and meme/text overlays Sync edits to trending or supplied audio with strong timing Color correct and clean up audio so everything looks/sounds polished Deliver in formats ready for Reels, TikTok, and Shorts Take feedback and turn revisions around quickly What I'm looking for (the best qualities for this job) Short-form fluency — you understand the pacing, hooks, and retention tricks of Reels/TikTok/Shorts. Strong comedic and meme timing — you know how to land a joke, a beat drop, or a reaction cut. Sports/movement editing experience — you can make athletic footage look dynamic (speed ramps, slow-mo, beat-synced cuts). Speed and reliability — consistent 24–72 hour turnaround and good communication. Self-direction — you can take loose footage and a rough idea and make creative calls without heavy hand-holding. Caption and text design — clean, on-brand, readable captions, not default auto-subs.
