QA Tester: Food App Beta (Short Engagement, 1–2 Days)
Worldwide
About the project: "P" is a household food management app that helps families track their pantry, plan meals, and manage their shopping list. We're about to launch our beta and need someone to put it through its paces before we open it up to real users. This is a short, focused engagement, we need a methodical tester who will follow a structured test script, try to break things, and report back clearly on what they find. What you'll do: - Work through a provided test script covering ~7 core user flows (onboarding, pantry management, meal planning, shopping list, household sharing, and more) - Test on at least 2 devices (e.g. iPhone + Android ) & multiple browsers - Log every bug, glitch, or confusing moment in a simple bug report table - Take screenshots or screen recordings of any failures - Share your honest impressions as a user, what's confusing, what's missing, what you liked What we're NOT looking for: - You do not need to write any code - This is not a development role - We don't need a formal QA framework or automation, just thorough, honest manual testing Ideal background: - Detail-oriented and methodical, you notice things others miss - Comfortable using web apps on multiple devices - Clear written communication, your bug reports need to be specific and easy to act on - Previous QA or software testing experience Deliverables: - Completed test script with pass/fail/weird for every step - Bug log with descriptions and screenshots - Short written summary of your overall impressions (half a page is fine) Scoped time: 10 Hours Timeline: We'd like results back within 48 hours of sharing the app link and test script. Confidentiality: This is a pre-launch product. By accepting this engagement you agree to keep all information about the app, including its features, design, functionality, and any access credentials strictly confidential. You must not share, discuss, screenshot (beyond bug reporting), or disclose any aspect of the app to any third party during or after this engagement. A standard NDA will be sent prior to access being granted. To apply: Just tell us: what device(s) do you have available to test on, and what QA / app testing have you done, and why we should pick you.
