Summary

Job Description We are looking for two budget-friendly, detail-oriented QA/UX testers to perform a thorough, end-to-end user journey test of our platform, FriendMatch.com. We’ve recently rolled out some core technical updates, and we need to ensure the user experience is seamless, intuitive, and bug-free across different environments. You will be testing the platform from the perspective of a brand-new user and documenting your experience every step of the way. Note: We are hiring two independent testers for this project—one specifically for a Desktop review and one for a Mobile Browser review to evaluate layout variations. Key Tasks & Test Scenarios: Account Creation & Engagement: Sign up for a new account and complete a basic profile. Test the messaging and friend request systems. (You can test this legitimately or interact with a specific test account we provide to keep the platform data clean). Subscription & Upgrade Flow: Walk through the process of upgrading from a free account to a paid membership. We will provide a 100% off Shopify discount code for checkout; no personal out-of-pocket expense is required. Identity Verification: Go through our secure user verification process completely from start to finish. Account Management: Test the "Forgot Password" / password reset flow. Account Deletion: Locate and execute the account deletion process to ensure it functions smoothly. Deliverables & Focus Areas Required: We don't just want a "pass/fail" checklist. We need thorough, honest notes on your experience, focusing heavily on the following: Email Flow & Performance: Pay close attention to all transactional emails (activation, password resets, notifications). Note how long they take to arrive, if they land in the Spam/Promo folder, and if the layout formatting looks correct. Please specifically evaluate how clear the "Unsubscribe" or "Manage Email Notifications" settings are during and after signup. Detailed Step-by-Step UX Notes: What worked perfectly, what felt clunky, and where you felt confused. Note your reaction when hitting the subscription paywall (Is the value clear before checking out?). Friction Points: Any moments where the UI/UX felt frustrating, slow, or broken (especially during the upgrade or verification steps). Screenshots/Screen Recordings: Capture any visual bugs, broken layouts, or error messages you encounter. "Anything Else" / Fresh Eyes Feedback: We want your raw observations, suggestions, or gut-reactions that don't fit into a standard checkbox. If something strikes you as an opportunity for improvement, tell us here! Requirements: Strong communication skills and the ability to write clear, descriptive feedback. Experience with UX, UI, or QA testing is a plus, but a sharp eye for detail as an everyday web user is most important. Must specify if you are testing on Desktop (State Browser) or Mobile (State Device/Browser) in your proposal. Ability to complete the testing within 3–5 days of hire. Budget: $40 Fixed Price (Two separate contracts will be awarded to get a diverse balance of device testing).
