Summary

About Palm Palm is building the future of Business Identity. We bind a business and its people into one portable identity - a single ID for each Business (Member). Palm is an API product: Partners and government institutions integrate with us to onboard, verify, monitor, and keep businesses compliant. With Palm, businesses spend less time on paperwork and unlock smarter access to services - from banks to AI agents. Backed by leading partners like Amex Ventures and Better Tomorrow. About the Role We need a sharp, self-directed QA tester to be the last line of defense on what Palm ships. You will test tickets as they move through our board - functional features, bug fixes, and new workflows - and verify the accuracy of our filing forms, data, and AI output against authoritative sources. The failures that matter here are rarely one wrong field on one form. A single bad output, repeated across hundreds of businesses, costs them time, money, or their good standing. Your job is to catch it before it reaches a government portal. What You'll Do Test tickets as they come through the board - functional features, bug fixes, and new workflows - and report clearly what works, what breaks, and how to reproduce it. Validate form schemas and filing requirements against authoritative sources (state SoS sites, official filing instructions, government forms) for formations, EIN applications, registered agent changes, annual reports, DBAs, and compliance determinations. Test API behavior directly - exercise endpoints, check that responses and status codes are correct, and confirm the data coming back matches ground truth. Cross-check data and AI-generated output against source-of-truth, and stay skeptical of a confident answer until you have verified it. Trace each issue to its root - the workflow, the data, or the model - so engineers get an actionable report, not just "it's wrong." Write reusable checks: turn a caught error into a test case, a validation rule, or a checklist item so the same failure cannot recur. Look for ways to speed up your own testing with AI and automation, and flag anything that could be scripted rather than repeated by hand. About You You are autonomous - you take a ticket and run with it without hand-holding, and you are comfortable in an early-stage environment where the process is not fully defined yet. You are investigative - when something looks off, your instinct is to dig until you find the real cause, and you enjoy chasing a detail to ground truth: comparing a form field against a state website line by line until you are certain. You have a sharp eye for detail - you catch the transposed digit, the wrong entity suffix, the missing signature block, and the one jurisdiction that does it differently. You have experience testing API products and understand the basics: endpoints and URLs, requests and responses, status codes, and API keys. You can use a tool like Postman to hit an endpoint and read what comes back. You are AI-forward - you already use AI tools in your work and are actively looking for ways to automate the repetitive parts of your own job. You have a systematic method for tracking issues and following them through to resolution - comfortable with bug-tracking tools like Jira or similar. You communicate clearly with both engineers and non-technical experts, and can translate a quality issue into something a product team can act on. You take data accuracy and confidentiality seriously, especially with sensitive business and personal information. You are comfortable working across time zones with a distributed team. Nice to have: hands-on experience with corporate filings, formations, paralegal / legal ops, registered agent services, or compliance.
