QA Tester for Web App

We are seeking a skilled and detail-oriented QA Tester to help ensure the quality, reliability, and functionality of our web application. This is a part-time, intermediate-level position expected to run between one and three months with the potential for longer term collaboration. The right person for this role takes ownership of quality. You will be given requirements that may range from clearly defined to intentionally broad, and it will be your responsibility to read between the lines, identify what is explicitly stated as well as what is reasonably implied, and make sure the application behaves accordingly. You will test the application across both desktop and mobile viewports, ensuring a consistent and correct user experience regardless of how the end user accesses it. When issues are found, you will document them in clear, well-structured bug reports that give the development team everything they need to understand, reproduce, and resolve the problem. What we are looking for in a candidate Strong command of business-level English is required. You will be reading product requirements, communicating findings, and writing reports that need to be clear and professional. Experience in software QA, functional testing, and manual web testing is expected at this level. You do not need to write automated tests for this role, but you do need to be thorough, methodical, and consistent in your manual testing approach. Familiarity with testing across different screen sizes and browsers is important, as coverage of both mobile and desktop viewports is a core part of the job. The ability to interpret vague or incomplete requirements and exercise good judgment about expected behavior will set a strong candidate apart from the rest.
