QA Tester (iOS TestFlight & Website)

We are building a modern, feature-rich social networking platform available on iOS, Android, and the web. The platform includes user profiles, social feeds, messaging, events, groups, maps, a marketplace, business accounts, notifications, and more. The app is not publicly launched, nor are all features developed. We are looking for a detail-oriented Manual QA Tester to thoroughly test our application before development milestones are approved. This is a long-term opportunity throughout development and after launch. ⸻ Responsibilities You will thoroughly test both our iOS TestFlight application, Android app, and responsive website before each milestone is approved. Your responsibilities include: * Functional testing of every feature * Regression testing after bug fixes * End-to-end user journey testing * Cross-browser website testing * Mobile usability testing * UI/UX feedback * Performance observations * Error handling validation * Permission and account testing * Responsive website testing * Reporting bugs in a professional format ⸻ Features You Will Test Examples include: * User registration * Login/logout * Password reset * Email verification * Profile management * Profile photo uploads * Content creation and editing * Image uploads * Feed * Posts * Comments * Likes * Notifications * Direct messaging * Groups/Communities * Events * Marketplace * Business accounts * Booking flows * Search * Maps * QR code functionality * Settings * Privacy * Blocking/reporting users * Push notifications * Deep links * Website forms * Waitlist functionality * Business application forms * Contact forms * Blog * FAQ * Navigation * Every button, link, and screen throughout the application ⸻ End-to-End User Journey Testing In addition to testing individual features, you’ll verify complete user workflows. Examples include: * Create an account → Verify email → Complete profile → Upload content → Interact with other users → Receive notifications. * Register a business → Create services → Publish profile → Receive a booking → Accept booking. * Create a community → Invite members → Create an event → RSVP → Participate in community discussions. These complete user journeys are just as important as testing individual features. ⸻ Website Testing You will verify: * Navigation * Forms * Images * Responsive layouts * Broken links * SEO basics * Page titles * Meta descriptions * Loading speed * Accessibility * Error pages * Desktop and mobile layouts ⸻ Cross-Browser Testing Please test on: * Chrome * Safari * Firefox * Edge * Mobile Safari * Chrome Mobile ⸻ Devices Experience testing across multiple devices is preferred. Examples: * Various iPhone models * Different iOS versions * Tablets * Multiple screen sizes ⸻ Bug Reports Every bug report should include: * Clear title * Description * Steps to reproduce * Expected behavior * Actual behavior * Severity * Priority * Device * OS version * Browser (if applicable) * TestFlight build number * Screenshots * Screen recordings * Console errors when applicable ⸻ Test Cases Maintain organized test cases showing: * Tested feature * Pass/Fail * Date tested * Retest status * Notes ⸻ Requirement Verification Please verify not only that features work, but that they match the original requirements. If a feature is only partially implemented, it should be reported before milestone approval. ⸻ Before Every Milestone The workflow will be: 1. Developers complete work. 2. QA performs testing. 3. Bug report is created. 4. Developers fix issues. 5. QA performs regression testing. 6. QA signs off. 7. Client reviews the final build. 8. Milestone is approved. ⸻ Requirements * 3+ years of Manual QA experience * Experience testing iOS TestFlight applications * Experience testing responsive websites * Strong attention to detail * Excellent written English * Experience with Jira or similar bug-tracking tools * Ability to record screen videos and provide detailed documentation ⸻ Nice to Have * Experience testing social networking applications * Experience testing marketplace or booking platforms * Experience testing map/location-based features ⸻ Hours Approximately 10 hours per week during active development, with the possibility of increasing during launch.
