Texas Litigation Research Assistant (Rule Verification and Element Coding)
Worldwide
Texas civil litigation boutique needs a licensed attorney, paralegal, legal assistant with experience, recent law graduate, or senior law student for a defined 3-week research project, roughly 15 to 20 hours total, remote. Three deliverables. First, read Tex. R. Civ. P. 166a as amended March 1, 2026 and the Supreme Court order adopting it, and write a one-page memo on the current deadline structure and, critically, the applicability provision governing pending cases. Second, review 110 short structured "rule cards" that state the elements of Texas procedural rules and confirm each element is complete and correctly stated; this is a read-and-initial pass, not a rewrite. Third, research Texas HOA foreclosure and covenant-enforcement decisions from 2017 forward and record, per element, what relief each court granted or denied, into an existing spreadsheet format. Texas Civil Procedure coursework or practice required. HOA, condominium, or Tex. Prop. Code ch. 209 experience strongly preferred. Must work in US Central hours for supervision check-ins. Location filter applied for Texas licensure and timezone overlap.
