Textile Pattern Designer Needed – Create the Official Aṣọ Ẹbí Fabric for Afrobeats at Sea 2027 Fixed Price: $250 USD Potential for ongoing annual work About the Project Afrobeats at Sea is an international Afrobeats-themed charter cruise taking place in September 2027. One of our signature events will be Aṣọ Ẹbí Night, where guests from around the world will wear outfits made from one exclusive, custom-designed fabric. We expect hundreds—and hopefully thousands—of guests to participate. We are looking for an experienced textile/surface pattern designer to create the official Afrobeats at Sea 2027 fabric. This is much more than a fabric design. It will become part of our brand identity and will be featured across social media, photography, video, merchandise, and future marketing campaigns. Who We’re Looking For We’re looking for someone who has experience designing: * Textile prints * Surface patterns * Seamless repeating patterns * Fashion fabrics * African wax print-inspired designs (preferred but not required) Experience preparing artwork for commercial fabric manufacturing is highly preferred. Design Vision We want the fabric to feel: * Luxury * Bold * Fashion-forward * Modern * Premium * Elegant * Timeless * Culturally inspired This should NOT look like clip art or a generic repeating pattern. It should feel like an authentic, high-end African wax print that people would proudly wear to a major celebration. Design Inspiration The design should creatively incorporate themes such as: * African culture * Afrobeats music * Celebration * Community * Ocean waves * Cruise ships * Palm trees * Tropical destinations * DJ/music elements * African-inspired geometric motifs * Drums or musical symbolism * The African continent (subtle) * The Afrobeats at Sea logo integrated tastefully into the design We will provide inspiration images, our logo, and brand colors. Color Palette Primary Colors: * Purple * Gold * Black Optional accent colors: * Cream * White * Deep Orange We’re open to creative recommendations if they enhance the design. Deliverables The final design must include: * Three initial design concepts * Revisions on the selected concept (up to 3 rounds) * One final seamless repeating textile pattern * One alternate color variation * One apparel mockup showing the fabric on clothing (dress, suit, shirt, etc.) Final production files must include: * Adobe Illustrator (.AI) * EPS * SVG * Layered source files * High-resolution PNG * Print-ready PDF The pattern must be suitable for commercial textile manufacturing with a true seamless repeat. Copyright This must be a completely original design. No stock artwork. No copied patterns. No copyrighted elements. Upon final payment, all intellectual property rights will transfer exclusively to Afrobeats at Sea. To Apply Please answer the following questions: 1.
