TikTok Content Creator (Japanese Underground Idol Niche)

I'm building an English-language media brand that introduces Japanese underground idol groups to audiences in the US and around the world. I'm looking for a creative freelancer who can consistently produce engaging 45–60 second videos for TikTok, YouTube Shorts, and Instagram Reels. This paid test project is intended to help me find the right person for a long-term collaboration. Responsibilities: For each video, you will: * Research the assigned Japanese underground idol group. * Write a concise and engaging English script (45–60 seconds). * Record an English voice-over * Edit a polished vertical short-form video * Add clean English and Japanese subtitles. * Deliver a finished video ready for publishing. *You are not expected to show your face for the video* What I Will Provide: * The content/theme for the video (e.g. a group name or specific topic). * An overview of what should be covered. * Official links and reference materials when available. * Feedback on the script before video production. Because much of the source material is in Japanese, business-level Japanese reading proficiency is required to independently research the topic. Workflow 1. I provide the theme (group name or topic) and an overview of what the video should cover. 2. You research the topic. 3. You write the script and submit it for my approval. 4. Once the script is approved, you record the voice-over and produce the final video. 5. You deliver the finished video. AI Policy: AI tools may be used to assist your workflow (for example, brainstorming or organizing information). However, direct AI-generated output is strictly prohibited, including but not limited to: * Using AI to generate the entire script. * Using AI-generated voice-overs. * Submitting AI-generated content as your own work. I'm looking for original research, writing, and storytelling. Ideal Candidate * Native or fluent American English. * Native or fluent Japanese proficiency. * Strong storytelling and writing skills. * Experience creating TikTok, YouTube Shorts, or Instagram Reels. * Familiar with anime, J-pop, K-pop, or Japanese pop culture. A huge plus is familiar with 地下アイドル、推し活 * Reliable and interested in a long-term partnership. For this project: Create one 45–60 second vertical video introducing a Japanese underground idol group. (Details will be provided later) Budget $100 per video. Bonus if the video hits certain view goal. Long-term price negotiable. Willing to pay more for higher quality project.
