Now Hiring: TikTok Content Editor (Video) [ About Viasox ] Viasox is a e-commerce brand specializing in fancy compression and non-binding socks designed for people living with swollen feet, neuropathy, and circulation challenges. We have a strong, loyal community and we're building a consistent organic presence on TikTok. [ The Role ] We're looking for a part-time contract video editor who can hit the ground running. The work is a mix of two things: executing clearly briefed edits efficiently, and digging into a library of raw and archival footage to figure out what's actually worth using and how. You'll need to be comfortable working both ways — taking direction and running with it, but also being the person who pulls up a folder of assets, knows what's trending on TikTok, and comes back with a point of view on what we should make. We have a library of raw footage, past viral content, and best-performing ad concepts that will serve as creative references — your job is to understand what made those work and apply those angles to new organic content. Briefs will vary — sometimes detailed, sometimes directional. Either way, we need someone proactive and self-directed who doesn't wait to be told exactly what to do with what they have. [ Why Work With Us ] We have a product that genuinely resonates with people, a real community behind it, and content that has gone viral organically before. This isn't starting from zero. The person who does well here will have growing creative ownership over time — more input on angles, hooks, and what gets made. As the relationship develops, the scope can become more varied and creative. [ What You'll Do ] - Edit 4–7 short-form videos per week (anywhere from 7 to 90 seconds), ranging from simple clip assembly with text overlays to more involved cuts from raw footage - Study past viral content and top-performing ad concepts to inform new organic videos — understanding what worked and why - Sort through raw and archival footage independently and collaboratively — identifying what's usable and proposing how to use it - Stay current on what's resonating on TikTok and bring that context into creative decisions - Over time: take on more creative ownership — proposing content angles, hooks, and eventually driving the content calendar more independently - Let us know if you're also interested in static content (TikTok carousels, text-based posts, etc.) — not a requirement, but a plus [ What We're Looking For ] - Proven experience editing organic TikTok content — you know what feels native vs. produced - Proficient with video editing tools: CapCut, InShot, or equivalent - Clean, confident editing fundamentals: pacing, color, text placement, visual flow - Knows how to place text so it works across platforms — no captions over faces, nothing cut off on different aspect ratios - Fast on simple edits — a few clips and a text overlay should not be a time-consuming task - Comfortable operating with incomplete briefs and figuring out the rest when needed - Proactive with a point of view — especially when working from a library of assets without a clear script [ Nice To Have But Not Required ] - Experience with content targeting Gen X or Boomer audiences and understanding what is "too Gen Z" for our brand - Familiarity with TikTok Shop or product-focused organic content - Experience with static short-form formats (carousels, text posts) [ Scope & Compensation ] - 4–7 videos/week to start - Fully remote, contract/freelance - Open to per-video or retainer structure — happy to see proposals [ How to Apply ] Share your portfolio or examples of organic TikTok content you've edited.
