3D Toy & Collectible Designer Needed for Custom PVC Duck Figurine Series
Worldwide
We are developing a new series of small, collectible destination-themed duck figurines designed for mass production in hard PVC. We are looking for an experienced **toy / collectible designer and 3D modeler** who can help us develop the creative direction of the product—not simply convert a finished design into a 3D file. The initial project will be **one approximately 2-inch (50 mm) collectible duck representing Cabo San Lucas, Mexico**. We have the overall concept and some visual references, but we want the designer to bring their own artistic and creative expertise to help determine the right look, proportions, personality, level of detail, and way of incorporating recognizable destination elements. The final product should feel like a **high-quality collectible toy**, while remaining relatively simple and practical for mass production in molded hard PVC. At this small size, we want bold, recognizable design elements rather than excessive fine detail. For the Cabo San Lucas design, the goal would be to incorporate a few recognizable elements of the destination—such as El Arco, Baja/desert or ocean influences, and the name “Cabo San Lucas”—into a cohesive duck character rather than simply attaching many small decorative elements. We are looking for someone who can help with: * Initial concept development and creative direction * Exploring and refining the character's proportions, silhouette and personality * Determining how destination-specific elements should be incorporated * Simplifying the design appropriately for a roughly 50 mm physical collectible * Creating the final 3D sculpt/model * Considering basic manufacturability for molded PVC * Providing high-quality renders from multiple angles * Providing the editable source file and production files such as STL/OBJ * Working with us through revisions to arrive at the final design Experience designing **physical toys, PVC/vinyl figures, designer toys, collectible figurines or similar manufactured products** is strongly preferred. Please include examples of relevant work, particularly products you designed that were ultimately manufactured. This first Cabo San Lucas duck will also establish the **design language for a much larger collection**. If the initial project is successful, we expect ongoing work creating additional destination ducks for cruise ports throughout Mexico, the Caribbean, Alaska, Europe and other regions. We are looking for a designer interested in helping us build a recognizable collectible series, not just completing a one-time 3D modeling assignment. Thank you, Mike
