Trade Execution Consultant
Worldwide
We're building a web-based trading terminal with direct execution to brokers (TradeStation, Blofin, Tradeovate, Binance). Looking for someone with prop firm or professional trading experience to review and audit the execution layer before we go live. This is not a dev role. We need someone who's traded real size and knows what good execution looks like from the user side. What you'll do: • Review our execution architecture and identify gaps • Stress test order flows (market, limit, TP/SL, partial fills, rejects, timeouts) • Audit risk controls, kill switches, position limits • Identify edge cases that break in fast markets or during disconnects • Validate reconciliation and order state handling • Provide feedback on the trader experience (latency, fills, UI feedback) What you'll do: • Review our execution architecture and identify gaps • Stress test order flows (market, limit, TP/SL, partial fills, rejects, timeouts) • Audit risk controls, kill switches, position limits • Identify edge cases that break in fast markets or during disconnects • Validate reconciliation and order state handling • Verify state sync across multiple exchanges (TradeStation + Blofin) • Audit position/balance reconciliation between terminal and broker • Review API latency handling and timeout logic • Check order routing logic across different exchange APIs • Validate normalization layer (different exchanges return data differently) • Test failover scenarios (what happens when one exchange drops) • Provide feedback on the trader experience (latency, fills, UI feedback) You're a good fit if: • You've traded at a prop firm or professional trading desk • You understand order routing, execution quality, and slippage from experience • You've seen systems fail and know what to look for • You can communicate technical issues clearly to a dev team • Experience with crypto execution (perpetuals, funding) is a plus • Experience with TradeStation or similar retail broker APIs is a plus Please include in your application: • Where you traded and for how long • What systems/platforms you used • Any experience on the build/review side (not required but helpful) • Examples of execution issues you've caught or fixed in the past This is a review/audit role, not implementation. If you've only coded and never traded, this isn't the right fit. I'll know if you used AI to write your application. Please actually type it out.
