Title: US Trademark Attorney to File and Prosecute Trademarks for Software Company About the role: We are a US-based B2B software company (semiconductor/data analytics space) formalizing trademark protection for our company brand and a set of product and platform names. We need an experienced, licensed US trademark attorney to handle the process properly, from clearance through registration, including responding to any office actions. What we need: A licensed US trademark attorney (USPTO-admitted) to take our marks from clearance through to registration and represent us through examination. This is not a form-filling engagement. We want real clearance judgment and someone who stays with the applications through office actions, not just the initial filing. Scope We have one primary house/brand mark plus several product and platform names to protect. The work includes: a comprehensive clearance search on each mark (USPTO database, common law, and relevant sources), a plain-English registrability and risk assessment for each name, guidance on filing basis (use-based or intent-to-use) and correct classes and identifications, preparation and filing of the applications, and prosecution through to registration including office action responses. We are still deciding how many names to file now versus later and in what order, so we want your recommendation on scope and sequencing based on risk and cost, not just execution of a fixed list.
