EXHIBITION STAND DESIGN BRIEF Paper Honeycomb Feature Stand — Trade Show Exhibit 1. Project Overview We are exhibiting at an upcoming industry trade show and require a striking, custom-designed stand that showcases the sculptural and structural possibilities of paper honeycomb panels. This is an artistic, statement-led project rather than a conventional booth build. The intent is to create a stand that stops foot traffic, demonstrates craftsmanship, and positions the brand as a leader in creative material application. Unlike precise packaging or cut-file work, this project prioritises flowing, sculptural form. The overall aesthetic should read as elegant, curved, and refined — an installation as much as a display. 2. Objectives • Deliver a visually impressive, high-craft stand that attracts attention across the exhibition floor. • Demonstrate the versatility and beauty of paper honeycomb panels as a design material. • Provide functional exhibition space for staff to meet, present, and engage with visitors. • Reinforce the brand as innovative, sustainable, and design-forward. 3. Stand Specifications Footprint • Total area: 6m (width) x 3m (depth) — two combined stand spaces forming a single continuous exhibit. • Space-only exhibition space to be fully designed and dressed. • No roof or fully enclosed walk-in structure required. The design should remain open, sculptural, and inviting rather than a closed booth. Aesthetic Direction Predominantly curved, white, and elegant, with a professional, flowing form. Two treatment options are to be developed and presented at concept stage: • Option A — Layered Kraft: A tonal, layered design using exposed 10–30mm Kraft honeycomb sheets stacked to create rippling, organic wall and surface textures (refer to the layered reference imagery supplied). • Option B — Predominantly White: A clean, white-finished design using 10–30mm panels to form smooth, sweeping curved surfaces and structural ribbing (refer to the white-finish reference imagery supplied). 4. Key Features & Elements Feature Counter • A beautiful and intricate reception / meeting counter as a focal functional piece. • Curved, layered honeycomb construction consistent with the chosen aesthetic direction (refer to counter reference imagery). • Sized and positioned to support staff interaction, a laptop, and brand collateral. Centrepiece • A stand-alone sculptural centrepiece to draw attention and act as a talking point — for example, a large freestanding dinosaur skeleton or comparable dramatic form, fully constructed from honeycomb panels. • Should be a clear hero moment for photography and social sharing. Media / TV Integration • A cut-out within the wall fascia sized to house a large TV screen playing a promotional video. • Cabling and mounting to be concealed for a clean finish. Branding • Cut-out lettering of the company logo integrated into the structure. • Branding to be sculptural and integrated rather than applied as flat signage where possible. 5. Material Requirements • Primary material: paper honeycomb panels. • Panel thickness: 10–30mm, selected to suit the chosen design direction and structural needs. • Kraft (natural) or white finish per the selected option. • Material selection should reinforce the sustainable, recyclable qualities of paper honeycomb. 6. Deliverables • 3D renders throughout the concept stage to confirm requirements, form, and layout before production. • Iteration on renders as required until the design is signed off. • Final cut files and print files produced in the specified material for fabrication. 7. Timeline The stand is required for a trade show taking place in early September. All concept, approval, production, and delivery milestones should be scheduled to allow comfortable lead time ahead of the installation date. A detailed production schedule to be agreed once the concept direction is confirmed. 8. Notes • This is a creative, artistic project — flair, sculptural ambition, and material experimentation are encouraged. • The overall impression should be refined and elegant, not busy. • Reference imagery is supplied for both the layered and white design directions, the feature counter, and centrepiece concepts.
