Transportation Industry Research Specialist

We are seeking an experienced transportation industry researcher to assist with building a proprietary freight industry database. This position involves researching freight brokers, logistics providers, and shipping companies throughout the United States and collecting verified business and operational information from public and industry sources. Responsibilities: • Research freight brokers, logistics companies, and shippers • Verify company information from multiple sources • Identify key contacts and operational details • Gather carrier onboarding and qualification information • Maintain accurate records in spreadsheets and databases • Document sources used for verification Requirements: • Experience in the transportation, logistics, freight brokerage, or trucking industry • Strong online research and data verification skills • Ability to work independently • Excellent attention to detail • Experience with Google Sheets, Excel, or database systems • Strong written English communication skills Preferred: • Previous experience with carrier onboarding, broker setup, carrier sales, dispatching, compliance, or freight brokerage operations • Familiarity with FMCSA records and transportation industry resources When applying, please include: • A brief summary of your transportation industry experience • Examples of similar research projects completed • Your estimated hourly rate or fixed-price proposal • Availability and expected turnaround times This is an ongoing project for the right candidate.
