Trust & Estate Mediator (Remote)

We are looking for a knowledgeable Trust & Estate Mediator to assist with resolving disputes involving trusts, wills, probate, estates, and inheritance matters. This role requires an impartial professional who can facilitate productive conversations, de-escalate conflict, and help all parties reach practical, mutually agreeable resolutions. This is a fully remote contract opportunity for an experienced mediator who is comfortable handling confidential and often sensitive family and estate-related matters. Responsibilities Lead mediation sessions involving estate, probate, trust, and inheritance disputes. Facilitate respectful and productive discussions between beneficiaries, executors, trustees, attorneys, and other interested parties. Help participants evaluate options and negotiate fair, voluntary settlements. Review wills, trusts, probate documents, financial records, and other relevant case materials. Prepare mediation notes, settlement agreements, and related documentation as needed. Collaborate with legal counsel and other professionals when appropriate. Maintain complete neutrality while ensuring a fair and balanced mediation process. Protect confidential information and adhere to professional mediation standards. Conduct mediation meetings remotely using video conferencing platforms. Qualifications Demonstrated experience in trust and estate mediation, probate mediation, or a comparable dispute resolution role. Strong understanding of probate proceedings, estate administration, trusts, wills, and inheritance matters. Exceptional communication, facilitation, negotiation, and interpersonal skills. Ability to manage emotionally charged situations with professionalism and impartiality. Experience drafting mediation reports or settlement documentation. Comfortable working independently in a remote environment. Mediation certification, legal training, or experience in estate law is highly desirable.
