Trusted Bookkeeper / CPA for Real Estate, Personal & Multiple Companies (15-30 hrs/month)

I'm looking for a highly trustworthy, detail-oriented bookkeeper or CPA to help manage finances across multiple areas of my life and business — approximately 15-30 hours per month on an ongoing basis. This role covers: • Personal finances and household accounting • Real estate holdings and related transactions • A veterinary practice • A tech startup • Additional small businesses Who I'm looking for: • An individual I can build a real working relationship with — not a company or firm where I'd be passed around (exception: a smaller boutique firm like Miro where there's real personal continuity is okay) • US-based or non-US with an active US CPA license and deep experience working with US clients • Tax experience is important — I need someone who can handle more than just bookkeeping, ideally someone who can assist with tax planning and preparation across multiple entities • Comfortable using AI tools (ChatGPT, Claude, etc.) to work efficiently — this is important • Open to a full-time virtual admin with strong bookkeeping experience if the right person is available, though ideally the bookkeeping/CPA focus is primary What you'll do: • Track and record expenses across personal and business accounts • Enter and reconcile financial data in QuickBooks • Assist with tax preparation and planning across multiple entities and industries • Handle multi-state financial and reporting requirements • Provide clean, organized monthly financial reports • Be a reliable, communicative partner I can truly trust with sensitive financial matters Requirements: • Experience with real estate bookkeeping (rentals, transactions, etc.) • Experience with veterinary or medical practice accounting • Experience with tech startups (equity, burn rate, etc. a plus) • Experience managing multiple entities simultaneously • Tax preparation and planning experience — not just bookkeeping • QuickBooks proficiency • Strong knowledge of US tax obligations and multi-state compliance • Comfortable with AI tools — you should be using them to work smarter • Excellent communication and responsiveness • US-based or active US CPA license if overseas This is a long-term engagement.
