*Twilio Expert Needed – Voice, SMS & AI Communications Infrastructure (Long-Term)** --- **About Us** We're building a network of hyper-local wellness websites (think IV therapy, Botox, med spas) that connect consumers with local providers and drive appointment bookings. Our model is built for scale — we're targeting thousands of local sites — and we need a rock-solid communications layer underneath all of them. --- **What We're Building** We need an experienced Twilio developer to architect and build our entire voice and messaging stack. Here's what the system needs to do: **Phone Numbers & Routing** - Provision local phone numbers tied to specific geographic regions (city/market level) - Route inbound calls and texts to the right team member's phone - Support dynamic number provisioning as we scale to new markets - Track which numbers belong to which websites/markets **Voice** - Inbound call handling with intelligent routing - Call recording and transcription (every call, stored and searchable) - After-hours AI voice bot that answers calls, qualifies the caller, and captures contact info or books appointments - Warm handoff from AI bot to live agent when business hours resume **SMS / Chat** - Two-way SMS from local numbers - Web chat widget embedded on our websites that connects to the same backend - Agents manage all conversations (voice + text + chat) from a single desktop interface - After-hours AI chatbot that handles inbound texts and web chats automatically **Recordings & Transcription** - All calls recorded - All calls and texts transcribed and stored - Transcripts tied to contact records for future reference **Scale Requirements** - Architecture must support thousands of phone numbers across thousands of websites - Must be cost-efficient and maintainable at scale - Clean documentation so our team can manage numbers and routing without developer help --- **Nice to Have (Bonus Points)** - Experience with Twilio Flex or similar contact center products - Familiarity with CRM integrations (we'll want to pipe call/text data somewhere) - Experience building AI voice bots (Twilio + ElevenLabs, Twilio + OpenAI, etc.) - Knowledge of HIPAA-compliant communication practices (wellness industry) - Experience with webhook-based event systems --- **Who We're Looking For** - Proven Twilio experience — please share examples of past projects - Strong with Twilio Programmable Voice, Programmable SMS, and Studio - Comfortable with backend development (Node.js, Python, or similar) - Communicates clearly in plain English — we're founders, not engineers - Available for ongoing work as we scale --- **Engagement** This is a long-term engagement. We're starting with an initial build, but as we grow into new markets we'll need ongoing number provisioning, feature additions, and maintenance.
