Two clean horizontal logos for two related German websites (heat-pump niche)
Worldwide
------------------------------------------------------------------------------- OVERVIEW ------------------------------------------------------------------------------- I'm building two connected German websites in the home-heating / heat-pump ("Wärmepumpe") space and need TWO distinct but professionally-crafted logos — one for each brand. I'd like to hire ONE designer for both so the craft level and file quality stay consistent (the two brands are siblings, not twins — they should feel related in quality but clearly different in character). IMPORTANT — LAYOUT PREFERENCE: The PRIMARY logo for BOTH brands must be a HORIZONTAL lockup (icon/mark on the left, wordmark on the right, sitting on one line). Horizontal is what I care about most — it has to look clean and balanced in a website header at ~40px height. A stacked/compact version and an icon-only version are also needed as secondary variants, but the horizontal lockup is the hero. No stock icons, no clip-art, no AI-generated raster art. Original vector work. ------------------------------------------------------------------------------- BRAND 1 — "prima Wärmepumpe" (website: prima-waermepumpe.de) ------------------------------------------------------------------------------- What it is: A commercial, conversion-focused site that connects homeowners with vetted local heat-pump installers. Practical, trustworthy, "your local expert". Personality: professional, reliable, approachable, modern, action-oriented. Think a credible trades/energy brand a homeowner would trust with a €30k investment — NOT a cheap price-comparison look, NOT a sterile corporate look. Color direction (feel free to refine): deep navy / blue as the base, a clear eco/heat-pump green as the accent, optional warm orange reserved for the "action" feel. Clean, confident, high contrast. Typography feel: modern geometric/humanist sans (clean, sturdy, friendly). Mark idea (open to your interpretation): something that quietly signals heat / warmth / air / efficiency (e.g. an abstract warmth-wave, airflow, leaf+heat, household warmth) — subtle and iconic, NOT a literal detailed heat-pump machine. The word "prima" (German for "great / excellent") should feel positive and light. ------------------------------------------------------------------------------- BRAND 2 — "Wärmepedia" (website: waermepedia.de) ------------------------------------------------------------------------------- What it is: A neutral, editorial knowledge/advice portal about heat pumps — an "encyclopedia + energy advisor". Its whole value is trust, independence and expertise (think a calm, credible reference site). Personality: neutral, editorial, knowledgeable, calm, trustworthy, timeless. Less salesy than Brand 1 — this is a reference/magazine feel, more "knowledge" than "offer". It should read as an authority a journalist would cite. Color direction (feel free to refine): calm, editorial palette — muted green/teal, deep slate/ink, plenty of restraint. More "quiet expertise" than "marketing". Typography feel: a refined editorial pairing is welcome (e.g. a serif-flavored wordmark for a knowledge/reference tone), still crisp and legible small. Mark idea (open to your interpretation): something that signals knowledge + warmth — e.g. an abstract "pedia/reference" nod (open book, node, spark of insight) merged with a warmth/energy cue. Distinct from Brand 1's mark. ------------------------------------------------------------------------------- COMMON REQUIREMENTS (both logos) ------------------------------------------------------------------------------- - Must be legible and balanced at small sizes (website header ~32–40px tall). - Work on both light and dark backgrounds. - Timeless and simple — no heavy gradients, no fine detail that dies when scaled. - German umlaut "ä" in "Wärmepedia" / "Wärmepumpe" must be handled cleanly. - The two brands should feel like a well-made family (same quality bar) while being clearly distinguishable in mood (Brand 1 = commercial/warm-confident, Brand 2 = editorial/calm-authoritative). ------------------------------------------------------------------------------- DELIVERABLES (per logo, so x2 total) ------------------------------------------------------------------------------- 1. Primary HORIZONTAL lockup (icon + wordmark) — SVG + PNG (transparent) 2. Stacked / compact version — SVG + PNG 3. Icon / mark only (square, for favicon & social) — SVG + PNG + 512px + 32px 4. One-color / monochrome version (black & white) — SVG 5. Light-background and dark-background versions 6. Source file (editable vector: AI, Figma or SVG) 7. A short one-page style sheet: exact colors (HEX), the font(s) used, and clear-space / min-size rules. Final files must be delivered as editable vectors (full commercial rights / work-for-hire, transferable to me). ------------------------------------------------------------------------------- TO APPLY — please include ------------------------------------------------------------------------------- - A short note on how you'd approach TWO sibling-but-distinct brands. - Portfolio links (ideally clean, modern wordmark/lockup work — not mascot logos). - Rough timeline and your fixed price for the full scope above. - (Optional, appreciated) 1–2 quick thumbnail directions or references that show the direction you'd take — but do NOT do full free spec work. ------------------------------------------------------------------------------- PROCESS ------------------------------------------------------------------------------- - Round 1: 2–3 distinct concept directions per brand (horizontal lockup first). - I pick a direction per brand → 1–2 refinement rounds. - Final handoff = all files above + style sheet. Note: This is for two live websites; I value clean, confident, timeless design over trendy effects. Horizontal lockups are the priority. Thanks!
