Ubuntu FTP Server Setup and Configuration Expert

We are looking for an experienced Linux System Administrator to set up and configure a secure FTP server on Ubuntu. Scope of Work: Install and configure FTP server software (vsftpd preferred) Create and manage FTP user accounts Configure user isolation (chroot jail) Set up passive mode and firewall rules Configure SSL/TLS encryption for secure file transfers Verify connectivity from external networks Apply security best practices and hardening Provide basic documentation of the configuration Requirements: Strong experience with Ubuntu Linux administration Experience with vsftpd, ProFTPD, or similar FTP solutions Knowledge of networking, DNS, and firewall configuration Understanding of FTP security and SSL/TLS certificates Ability to troubleshoot connectivity and permission issues Deliverables: Fully functional FTP server on Ubuntu Secure user access configured SSL/TLS enabled Testing completed and documented Brief handover documentation Preferred Qualifications: Experience with cloud servers (AWS, Azure, DigitalOcean, Vultr, etc.) Knowledge of SFTP and secure file transfer alternatives Experience hardening Linux servers
