We’re Hiring: Accounting Assistant — Remote We're looking for an Accounting Assistant to join our growing team at HELM (www.helm.ceo)! You'll be working with our client in the Renovations industry in a remote capacity. We have other clients hiring for the similar role. In this role, you will support day-to-day accounting operations with a strong focus on invoicing, accounts receivable, bill entry, and month-end close activities. You’ll work inside an accounting platform and heavily in Excel to maintain accurate financial records, track outstanding balances, and support operational workflows such as order submissions. The ideal candidate has hands-on experience using an accounting system, is comfortable working with Excel (including pivot tables and formulas), and is willing to learn and grow into the role with guidance. You are detail-oriented, reliable, and able to handle high-volume financial tasks with consistency and care. Responsibilities Manage invoicing and maintain accurate financial worksheets. Handle accounts receivable and debtor tracking, including follow-ups as needed. Input and manage bills accurately and on time. Support month-end close activities and related reconciliations. Submit and track orders within internal systems. Maintain organized, up-to-date financial records. Work extensively in Excel to track, analyze, and reconcile financial data. Requirements and Qualifications Strong written and spoken English communication skills. Experience using an accounting platform (e.g., QuickBooks, Zoho, Sage, NetSuite, or similar). Advanced Excel experience, including pivot tables, formulas, functions, and tables. (Required) Experience with GHL or other CRMs would be beneficial. Experience with invoicing and accounts receivable processes. High attention to detail and comfort handling repetitive financial tasks. Organized, reliable, and able to manage multiple priorities. Willingness to learn and grow into additional responsibilities over time. Tools You’ll Use An accounting platform (e.g., QuickBooks, Zoho, Sage, NetSuite) Microsoft Excel or Google Sheets Location: Remote (contractor basis) Weekly Hours: 20 hours per week, 9 AM - 5 PM CT Pay Range: $800 - $1200 per month – depending on Experience Equipment: BYO devices Openings: 3 If you are interested in this opportunity, please submit your CV and share why!
