Ultra-Low Latency Radio-to-PC Interface
Worldwide
Hello, An Italian version of this message is included below for reference. I would like to build a hardware device that connects to a PC with the goal of achieving the lowest possible latency. The concept is the following: * A walkie-talkie receives a radio signal. * The device immediately detects the incoming signal. * As quickly as possible, it sends a command to the computer via USB. The device should be able to act as a standard USB Human Interface Device (HID), such as a mouse or keyboard, allowing it to automatically perform an action on the PC. However, I would like the project to be as flexible as possible. I'm not looking for a device that performs only one fixed function—I want to be able to modify its behavior myself in the future. For example, I would like to be able to configure the device so that it can: * perform a mouse click; * press one or more keyboard keys; * execute a keyboard shortcut; * or perform other similar actions. For this reason, I would like the firmware to be well structured and documented, and I would appreciate it if you could teach me how to modify these settings myself, so that I can easily change the device's behavior in the future without needing your assistance each time. Finally, I would like to know whether this project is feasible, which hardware you would use, and what level of latency you realistically believe can be achieved.
