Upper Primary and High School Maths Curriculum Developer

We are hiring experienced Maths teachers to develop explicit, classroom-ready Maths curriculum for upper primary and high school students, Years 7–12. This is an ongoing role requiring a commitment of approximately 30–40 hours per week. Upper primary or high school Maths teaching experience is essential. Please do not apply if you have not taught Maths in a school setting. You will develop scopes and sequences, lesson plans, teacher scripts, student workbook activities, digital lessons and assessment tasks. You will translate curriculum outcomes and Maths content into structured, sequenced learning for students using an explicit instruction approach. You will work with curriculum outcomes, lesson-development frameworks, templates, exemplars and source materials. You must be comfortable making curriculum decisions, interpreting curriculum requirements and working within an established program structure. Required • Upper primary or high school Maths teaching experience • Strong Maths subject and curriculum knowledge • Strong written English • Experience planning and delivering Maths units of work for upper primary or high school students • Experience planning structured and sequenced learning in Maths • Ability to explain mathematical concepts, procedures and reasoning clearly and accurately • Ability to translate curriculum outcomes into explicit, classroom-ready lessons • Ability to commit approximately 30 hours each week • Availability for at least three hours during Australian Eastern business hours on each working day • Ability to maintain a consistent weekly schedule and work shifts of at least four hours • Ability to meet agreed deadlines and complete work within set timeframes • Strong proficiency in Microsoft PowerPoint, Word and Excel • Access to a personal computer (not Mac) with Microsoft PowerPoint, Word and Excel installed Advantageous • Knowledge of the Australian Curriculum (ACARA) • Experience with Direct Instruction or other explicit instruction approaches • Familiarity with the Singapore Maths is a strong bonus, as our YF-Y6 maths program draws upon and aligns with this framework • Curriculum-writing or educational publishing experience • Experience writing digital learning materials Although you may initially begin on a defined project or contract, there are opportunities for ongoing, long-term work.
