Summary

No AI response. Just a human response, please. You can also reply with a short video, which is much more preferred. You should be available this Saturday and Sunday and can work 10 hours each day at least for these two days. You shouldn't work more than 15 hours per day. With that said, I check your progress to make sure there is no fake progress. This will probably need 10 to 20 hours of work but the stop time will be determined by the Client (me). I need a detail-oriented research assistant to help identify how U.S. universities classify their PhD programs in Finance for CIP code / STEM Classification purposes. The work is time-sensitive and requires careful web research, spreadsheet tracking, and some email outreach to university administrators when the information cannot be found online. This is not a generic web-search task. You will need to search the official university, state higher education, registrar, catalog, institutional research, graduate school, business school, and STEM OPT pages. The main target is Finance PhD / doctoral Finance programs, and the most important code we are looking for is CIP 27.0305, Financial Mathematics. However, the task is to record whatever you find, including non-matching CIP codes, unclear results, and cases where the CIP code cannot be found. Timeline: This is urgent. I need meaningful progress on Friday, Saturday, and Sunday, with the bulk completed by Sunday night (June 28, 2026). Please apply only if you have substantial availability on those days. My estimate is that this may require around 20 hours of work. Work setup and monitoring: Everything will be shared through a standalone Google Drive folder containing only the task files for this project. If you cannot reliably use Google Drive, this project will not work. Please do not request access to any broader folder or unrelated files. I will monitor your progress continuously through the shared files and tracker, so the tracker should be updated as you work, not only at the end. Confidentiality: This is a private engagement. You will be given only the specific files needed for this task (a search guide and an Excel tracker) - nothing else. Please keep the work and all shared materials confidential, do not repost, share, publish, or use them in a portfolio, and do not retain copies, screenshots, downloads, or local working files after the project ends. Meetings: We should have a one-hour meeting on Saturday, another on Sunday, and another on Monday. I am available between 1:00 PM and 11:59 PM U.S. Central Time on those days. Stop-work rule and hour logging: I may end or pause the project at any time. If I tell you the project is ended or paused, you should stop immediately and should not continue working after that point unless I restart it. You must log your hours continuously as you work. Please do not batch-log hours after you are done working or at the end of the day. Progress reporting: Please send a short progress update every 3 hours of work. The update should be clear and brief, for example: "So far I searched 18 universities, sent 6 emails to graduate coordinators, found one Finance PhD with CIP 27.0305, found five non-matching business CIP codes, and could not locate the CIP for seven programs." What you will do: 1. Use an existing Excel tracker that I will provide. 2. Search universities in the order listed in the tracker. 3. Determine whether each university has a Finance PhD / doctoral Finance program. 4. Find and record the program's CIP code when possible. 5. Record the exact program name, degree level, CIP code, CIP description, source URL, and brief notes. 6. If the CIP code cannot be found online, identify the correct administrative contact, such as a graduate coordinator, registrar contact, institutional research office, or business-school program administrator. 7. Draft and send short emails asking whether the Finance PhD is STEM eligible and what CIP code is assigned to it. 8. Track email status, date sent, response received, and any CIP code reported in response. Important scope: - Only Finance PhD / doctoral Finance programs count for this task. - Do not treat an MBA, MS Finance, undergraduate Finance major, economics PhD, or general business program as a match unless the source clearly connects it to doctoral Finance. - Sometimes the official program may be called "Finance, PhD." - Sometimes it may appear under "Business Administration - Finance," "Business Administration (Finance)," "Management," or another business-school umbrella. - Rarely, it may be listed directly under "Financial Mathematics." - If the source has a table, only count doctoral-level rows. Doctoral degrees can be written as PhD, Ph.D., PHD, Doctorate, Doctoral, Research Doctorate, or D Research Doctorate. Search strategy: The hardest part of the project is finding the CIP source. You should be persistent and flexible. Useful search patterns include: - higher education CIP codes university [state] - program inventory CIP codes universities [state] - program inventory [university name] - CIP codes [university name] - Finance PhD CIP code - "Finance PhD" "27.0305" - "PhD in Finance" "27.0305" - "Finance, PhD" "CIP" - "Business Administration (Finance)" "CIP" - "Financial Mathematics" "PhD" "Finance" Good places to search: - State higher-education program inventories - University catalog or bulletin pages - Registrar or institutional research pages - Graduate-school program pages - Business-school PhD pages - University senate/curriculum meeting PDFs - STEM OPT / international-office program lists - Program handbooks or brochures What counts as a good source: - Official state program inventory showing university, degree level, program name, and CIP code. - Official university catalog/bulletin showing the PhD program and CIP code. - Registrar or institutional-research page listing program CIP codes. - University senate/curriculum document approving or changing a CIP code. - International-office/STEM OPT list showing the doctoral Finance program and CIP. What is weaker: - A page for an MS Finance or MBA, unless the PhD is clearly listed too. - A generic business-school marketing page. - A source that says only "STEM" without a CIP code. - A non-doctoral program's CIP code. Email outreach: For programs where the CIP cannot be found online, you may need to create and send a short email to the appropriate university administrator. Do not email professors unless there is no administrative contact available. Prefer graduate coordinators, PhD program coordinators, registrar/institutional research staff, business-school administrators, or international-office/STEM OPT contacts. The email should be brief and professional. It should ask whether the university's PhD program in Finance is STEM eligible and, specifically, what CIP code is assigned to that doctoral program. Track every email in the same Excel file. Skills required: - Excellent web research skills. - Comfort searching PDFs, Excel files, university catalogs, state databases, and obscure administrative pages. - Careful spreadsheet tracking. - Ability to distinguish official sources from weak sources. - Strong attention to detail with program names, degree levels, and CIP codes. - Ability to work quickly but not sloppily. Deliverables: - Updated Excel tracker with all search findings. - Source URLs for every finding. - Notes for any unclear or ambiguous results. - Email outreach tracking in the same Excel file. - Short progress reports every 3 hours of work. Please include in your application: 1. Your availability this Friday, Saturday, and Sunday. 2. Whether you are comfortable doing tedious university/database/PDF searches. 3. One or two examples of similar research or spreadsheet tracking work. 4. Confirmation that you can provide short progress updates every 3 hours of work. 5. Confirmation that you can use Google Drive, keep the tracker updated while working, log time continuously, stop work immediately if instructed, delete/retain no copies after the project ends, and attend one-hour meetings on Saturday, Sunday, and Monday between 1:00 PM and 11:59 PM U.S. Central Time.
