Job Title: Short-Form Video Editor for Direct-Response Instagram Ads (VSL-Style, Talking Head) Type: Fixed price, per video · Initial scope: 14 videos (one batch, with more if it goes well) ABOUT THE PROJECT We're a med spa brand (SkinTight Medspas) running paid Instagram ads. We've just filmed a set of talking-head VSL scripts with on-camera talent and need an editor to turn the raw footage into scroll-stopping, conversion-focused short-form ads. The benchmark for the output we want is VSL Queen (vslqueen.com) — female-led, direct-response video ads for high-ticket businesses. If you've studied that style of ad, or edited UGC/DR ads that actually convert on Meta, you'll know exactly what we're after. WHAT YOU'LL BE EDITING Talking-head footage (1 presenter, mostly Instagram 9:16) for 14 scripts across 7 med spa treatments. Each ad opens with a strong hook and drives to a single CTA (e.g. "DM us the word BODY"). The scripts are written; your job is to make them retain and convert. WHAT "GREAT" LOOKS LIKE FOR US - Hook-first editing — the first 1–3 seconds earn the watch - Word-by-word animated captions (clean, branded, perfectly synced) - Tight pacing: cut dead air, jump cuts, pattern interrupts so viewers don't drop off - Relevant b-roll, on-screen text callouts, light motion graphics to reinforce key points - Subtle zoom/punch-ins, sound design / SFX, and music bed at the right level - Clear CTA treatment at the end - Built for sound-on AND sound-off viewing DELIVERABLES PER VIDEO - 1 fully edited ad in 9:16 (and a 1:1 or 4:5 resize if quick) - Captions burned in - Source/project file on request YOU'RE A FIT IF YOU - Have edited direct-response or UGC ads for Meta/Instagram (not just vlogs or YouTube long-form) - Can show examples in a VSL Queen–style direct-response format - Are fast, communicative, and good with feedback rounds - Work in CapCut / Premiere / After Effects (your call, as long as output is top-tier) TO APPLY, PLEASE INCLUDE 1. 2–3 examples of short-form direct-response or UGC ads you've edited (links) 2.
