Vector Map Cleanup & Template Production — Neighborhood Maps for Real Estate (Ongoing Work)
Worldwide
We are a real estate team serving Santa Cruz County, California. We're producing a series of neighborhood market-area maps for two uses: printed neighborhood guide booklets (listing presentations, buyer relocation guides, mailers) and clean overlay graphics for our listing and community videos. The Job — Production, Not Creation Important context for pricing: the maps already exist and are approved. All geography, boundaries, neighborhood names, colors, labels, and layouts are done — built from official map data and finalized by us. We will hand you finished reference PDFs/PNGs of every map. What we need is production work: rebuild each approved map as a clean vector file in a reusable template, so each one exports in two formats: Print: 8.5×11 PDF, 300dpi, bleed and margin-safe labels — for booklets and mailers Video overlay: transparent-background PNG/SVG sized for 4K, with each colored neighborhood on its own layer so we can highlight one at a time in videos Once the template exists, each additional map is largely tracing and styling within an established system. This is straightforward, repeatable work for someone with solid vector skills — we'd rather pay a fair per-map production rate to one reliable person over many months than a premium one-off fee. What We Provide Approved reference maps (PDF/PNG, letter size) — you match them, not reinvent them Brand palette and fonts One consolidated revision list per map (we give specific, fast feedback) Deliverables Per Map Editable source file (Illustrator, Figma, or similar) Print-ready 8.5×11 PDF (300dpi, bleed) Transparent 4K overlay with separable neighborhood layers Web-resolution PNG Labeled and unlabeled versions Surrounding areas and Separated versions Ideal Skills Clean vector work and careful label typography (portfolio should show maps or similar precision work) Print output basics (300dpi, bleed) Layered exports for video use GIS tools not required — this is vector production from supplied references Process, Budget, and Volume We'll start with one small paid pilot: reproduce our approved Scotts Valley map (already fully designed — you're matching it) in both output formats. For an experienced vector designer we expect the pilot to be a few hours of work, and we've budgeted accordingly — please price it as production work, not custom cartography. If the pilot is right, there are [10–20+] maps to follow at a steady pace, plus updates over time as neighborhoods get added. We're looking for a dependable long-term partner at a sensible per-map rate; the volume is where this becomes worthwhile for you. How to Apply Keep it short: 2–3 relevant portfolio samples, your file format/workflow in one sentence, your pilot quote, and your per-map rate for the series. Start your proposal with the word "Redwood" so we know you read the brief. We pay promptly, give clear feedback, and send steady work to people who deliver.
