Vector AI Print File Design

We need an experienced surface/pattern designer to build a production-ready vector print file (Adobe Illustrator, .ai) of a soft, illustrated motif for a physical print application. We have an approved visual direction (currently a rough/AI-generated reference) that captures the look we want, but it is not production-ready. We're looking for a skilled designer to rebuild it properly from scratch as clean, correctly constructed vector artwork. This is a rebuild-to-spec job, not an image cleanup — we don't want an upscaled or auto-traced version of the reference. We want real vector artwork, built correctly for manufacturing, that keeps the intended look and feel. What you'll deliver Production-ready vector artwork in Adobe Illustrator (.ai), rebuilt to match the approved direction (reference provided on kickoff) Delivered as art elements on a transparent background (no baked-in background fill — the art prints directly onto a colored surface) Clean, scalable, properly constructed vector elements — real paths, organized and editable, not auto-traced Correct color setup for print, to target colors we'll provide Layered, organized working .ai file, plus any flattened/export versions requested About you Proven experience in vector surface pattern design and print production — portfolio required, ideally showing work that went to physical production (not just mockups) Fluent in Adobe Illustrator and comfortable delivering clean, production-grade .ai files You understand prepping vector art for physical printing: transparency, color profiles, bleed, and how ink behaves on colored substrates Comfortable building files to a manufacturer's exact spec Able to hit a firm, tight deadline Timeline Time-sensitive: final print-ready .ai file needed by 7/24.
