Can you commit to a same-day turnaround time within a few hours of receiving a file? We are seeking a detail-oriented, fast-turnaround designer or prepress specialist for an ongoing, open-ended partnership converting client-approved cigar band graphics into print-ready vector files. We recently acquired this little business and are moving away from the previous owner’s heavy reliance on automated AI tools. We want a reliable human expert who pays close attention to detail and ensures print layers are set up correctly every single time. What You Will Do: • Take 1 raster PNG/image file and recreate/convert it into high-resolution, print-ready AI / EPS vector files (along with a final proof PNG for visual verification). • Handle prepress setup in Adobe Illustrator, including setting up specific layers for: o Die lines (custom contour cuts / shape-follow die lines that trace intricate designs). o Embossing and Hot Stamping layers for premium finishes. • Deliver clean, production-ready vector files directly to our email/inbox. Requirements: • Turnaround Time: Must be able to deliver completed files within a few hours of receiving the source image (same-day delivery is mandatory). • Software: High proficiency in Adobe Illustrator and print production/prepress setup. • Volume: Starts at around 2–3 designs per week (volume fluctuates—no fixed minimum guarantees), with room to grow as the business scales. Pay & Budget: • Fixed Rate: $5 per design / image. • Note on budget: Automated AI vector tools cost under $1 per image, but we are specifically choosing to pay $5 per image to work with a dedicated human specialist who ensures zero errors on die lines and finishes. This rate is fixed and non-negotiable. How to Apply: Please submit 2-5 samples of your previous vector recreation or prepress label work (ideally showing custom die lines, embossing, or print-layer setups). Confirm in your proposal that you can meet same-day/multi-hour turnaround times and accept the $5 per design rate on going. At the moment I have 9 images that need ai convertions but next week may be just 1 or 2 or 0 – no guarantees. If we agree – I’ll have you start with the first 9 that are ready for printing.
