About Us We're Salvo, a startup creating a new category in gaming by building truly interactive experiences over the top of live media and sports. We are moving way beyond current second-screen experiences. As an early-stage company, everyone on the team is a hands-on builder. You'll be collaborating with industry veterans—including leads from Riot Games and the teams behind massive hits like Subway Surfers and Angry Birds—to build this new business from the ground up. Your Mission As our Vertical Video Content Creator, you will own the rapid production and publishing of short-form video content for TikTok, YouTube Shorts, and Instagram Reels. We need a fast-moving, highly technical editor who can churn out compelling "headless" (faceless/voiceover-driven) videos. You will turn live sports action into engaging marketing assets, test different messaging hooks, and highlight our team's deep industry expertise to build our community and drive user acquisition. Position Responsibilities Priorities shift quickly in our startup environment, so this role includes, but is not limited to: MLB Daily Highlights: Rapidly produce fast-paced, highly engaging daily short-form videos that map our game's mechanics to live Major League Baseball games, storylines, and current sports trends. These will be posted on our own official channels, as well as external, boosted influencer channels. Direct Marketing Content + Hook & Messaging Testing: Edit "headless" videos utilizing influencer voiceovers and gameplay footage, swapping out various pitches, scripts, and hooks so we can rapidly A/B test marketing performance. Thought Leadership Content: Produce sleek, professional headless content centered around our company's leadership and industry expertise in gaming, sports tech, and AI to establish our authority in the space. THis content will be shared to our normal channels, plus business-specific channels like LinkedIn. Algorithmic Optimization: Leverage pacing, sound design, visual pattern interrupts, and kinetic typography to maximize viewer retention and algorithmic reach. Analytics & Iteration: Monitor video performance, analyze engagement data, and continuously iterate on your editing style to optimize for conversion and views. Required Experience Proven track record of growing and managing TikTok, YouTube Shorts, or Instagram Reels accounts (portfolio of high-performing videos required). Deep experience producing "headless" or faceless content (e.g., compilation edits, kinetic typography, voiceover-driven narratives). Experience working in a rapid-iteration, test-and-learn marketing environment where volume and speed are critical. Familiarity with leveraging AI tools for rapid video production, audio enhancement, asset generation, or copywriting. Demonstrated ability to bring a positive, problem-solving attitude when collaborating with a remote, multi-disciplinary team. Required Knowledge & Skills Expertise in Premiere Pro, CapCut, After Effects, or similar editing software. Understanding of MLB, NBA, and other American professional sports; you know how to tap into current baseball narratives and the broader sports ecosystem. Deep understanding of short-form retention mechanics and social media algorithms. Strong graphic design and UX/UI sensibilities for digital consumer applications. Kindness, empathy, curiosity. Extra Points Experience editing content for the sports betting, fantasy sports, or real-money gaming industries. Experience working with generative AI and agentic workflows to speed up the content pipeline.
