2D Video Animator and Landscape Designer for a Pet Community App (India)

We're looking for a talented 2D video animator to help us bring our content to life. The animator should be able to design landscapes for our assets, creating visually appealing and engaging animated videos. The ideal candidate will have experience in both animation and landscape design, with a keen eye for detail and creativity. We're a pet community app based in India, building a space for pet parents and animal lovers to connect, share, and find everything they need for their furry (and feathered, and scaled) companions. We're looking for a talented 2D video animator to help us bring our content to life. This is a freelance role with strong potential for ongoing work. We want more than someone who just animates — we're looking for a creative partner who can take a raw idea and carry it all the way through: from concept, to script, to storyscape, to storyboard, to a finished, polished animated video. **What you'll do** - Take our video ideas and develop them into scripts and storyboards, then produce the finished 2D animated videos - Use our existing design language and character assets to design original backgrounds (landscapes/storyscapes), environments, and storyboard frames that support clear, effective storytelling - Help refine and sharpen our ideas so the final video better achieves its intended goal (whether that's educating pet parents, driving app sign-ups, promoting a feature, or building community) - Animate high-quality 2D content with a strong graphic design sensibility — composition, color, typography, and motion - Collaborate with us throughout the process, sharing input and creative direction rather than just executing - Deliver professional work on agreed timelines **What we're looking for** - Proven experience animating 2D content into video (please share a reel or portfolio) - Ability to take an idea and own the full pipeline: scripting → storyboarding → final animation - Strong graphic design skills with a sharp eye for detail and quality - A track record of high-quality, polished output - Excellent communication — responsive, clear, and easy to collaborate with - A proactive, idea-driven approach to creative work **Nice to have** - Experience creating content for pet, lifestyle, community, or consumer app brands - Familiarity with the Indian market and audience - Motion graphics and explainer-style video experience - Basic sound design / audio editing **To apply** Please include: 1.
