Video Clipping Specialist + Short Form Content Editor
Worldwide
Here's your updated Upwork posting: --- **VIDEO CLIPPING SPECIALIST AND SHORT-FORM CONTENT EDITOR** Jazy Rich LLC | Long-Term Contract | Remote --- **CORE REQUIREMENT — READ THIS FIRST** **This Role Is Built Around Clipping Expertise and Short-Form Instinct** The primary skill we are hiring for is the ability to watch or scan long-form content — podcast episodes, livestreams, YouTube videos, and recorded sessions — and pull the moments that will hit. Not just decent clips. The ones that stop the scroll, deliver real value, make someone want to share it, or pull new viewers into the full content. You also need to be able to edit short-form original content that was never long-form to begin with — street interviews, brand moments, quick-hit videos — and make them feel tight, intentional, and platform-ready. You need to do this in bulk, consistently, and with strong editorial instinct. If you have never done serious clipping or short-form editing work before, this is not the role for you. If you live for it, keep reading. We are hiring ASAP. Qualified candidates will move quickly through the process. --- **ABOUT THE BRANDS** This role supports two brands under the same creative umbrella. **Jazy Rich LLC** is a strategic consulting and creative advisory brand built around marketing strategy, audience alignment, and vision-to-execution work. Content spans education, lifestyle, real talk, and strategy — rooted in Black culture, feminine excellence, faith, and execution. **Conscious Baddies Collective** is a community and content brand for women who are building intentionally — spiritually grounded, culturally aware, and unapologetically ambitious. Content is layered, personal, and community-driven. Content across both brands lives on YouTube, Instagram, and TikTok. Source material includes podcast recordings, livestream footage, long-form educational videos, vlog-style content, and short-form original footage. The brands produce content consistently and need a clipping and editing partner who can keep pace and maintain quality across multiple content ecosystems at once. --- **WHAT CLIPPING MEANS IN THIS ROLE** This is not cutting a random 60-second chunk from a video. Clipping here means having a trained eye and ear for content value — understanding what makes a moment quotable, shareable, educational, emotional, or entertaining, and knowing how to frame it for short-form audiences without losing the original meaning. - Watch or scan long-form video, podcast, and livestream recordings to identify high-value clip moments - Deliver clips in bulk per content drop — this is a volume role with quality standards - Identify multiple clip types from a single source: value bombs, reaction moments, story beats, quotables, educational takeaways - Edit each clip to stand alone — tight pacing, strong open, clean close - Add accurate, styled captions to every clip (auto-generated is not acceptable — must be reviewed and corrected) - Layer in on-brand graphics, text overlays, lower thirds, or image inserts where they add context or impact - Apply basic color correction and audio normalization to clips pulled from variable-quality source footage - Format and export each clip to platform specs (TikTok, Reels, YouTube Shorts) - Organize deliverables clearly by source content, clip number, and intended platform --- **SHORT-FORM ORIGINAL CONTENT EDITING** Beyond clipping long-form content, you will also edit short-form videos that were shot as standalone pieces — street interviews, behind-the-scenes moments, brand content, and quick-hit social videos. This requires a different instinct than clipping. You are not extracting from something longer — you are building a complete, polished short from raw footage that needs structure, pacing, and energy from the ground up. - Street interview editing with clean cuts, captions, and on-screen context - Short-form brand content with intentional pacing and visual flow - Text overlays, b-roll integration, and sound design where applicable - Platform-ready exports for TikTok, Reels, and YouTube Shorts --- **ADDITIONAL EDITING SCOPE** - Long-form vlog-style editing for YouTube with intentional pacing and b-roll integration - Educational talking-head video editing with clean structure, on-screen text, and visual flow - Thumbnail feedback or basic visual concepts for consistency across uploads --- **SKILLS AND REQUIREMENTS** Hard Skills: - Extensive clipping experience from podcast, livestream, and long-form video content - Short-form original content editing — not just clipping, but building from raw footage - Proficiency in CapCut, DaVinci Resolve, or Final Cut Pro - Manual caption editing — accurate, styled, not just raw auto-captions - On-screen graphics, text overlays, and image inserts - Audio cleanup and basic color correction for variable source footage - Platform export specs (TikTok, IG Reels, YouTube Shorts, YouTube) - Bulk delivery and file organization across multiple clips and brands per project Soft Skills and Cultural Fit: - English fluency — written and spoken - Genuine connection to Black culture and storytelling - Understands the target audience: Black women, entrepreneurs, creatives, and community builders - Strong editorial instinct — can identify what will land before it goes live - Executes with minimal hand-holding and brings creative initiative - Reliable on deadlines, proactive in communication - Comfortable working across multiple brands simultaneously without losing the voice of either Must Have: Podcast Clipping | Livestream Clipping | Short-Form Original Editing | Bulk Clip Delivery | Caption Editing | Graphics and Overlays | Short-Form Pacing | English Fluency | Cultural Alignment | Multi-Brand Experience --- **IDEAL CANDIDATE PROFILE** You have worked with creators, educators, coaches, or podcasters and know what it means to turn a 90-minute recording into 10 to 20 clips that each perform on their own. You also know how to take raw street footage or an uncut interview and turn it into something tight and watchable in under a minute. You understand content strategy well enough to know which moments serve different goals — growth, engagement, brand positioning, community — and you edit with that in mind. You do not have to be a Black woman, but you absolutely need to understand the culture, the audience, and the tone. Our content is specific, intentional, and layered. If you have edited or clipped content for Black creators, educators, or entrepreneurs before, that is a major plus. Long-term is the goal across both brands. We want a creative partner who gets the work, grows with it, and brings consistent quality without needing to be managed every step of the way. --- **HOW TO APPLY** Do not send a generic proposal. Tell us specifically what clipping and short-form editing work you have done — what type of source content, how many clips per project, and how you decide what to cut or how to structure raw footage. Include at least two portfolio samples. Clipped content from podcast or livestream sources is strongly preferred. Short-form original edits (street interviews, brand content) are a major plus. **Bonus:** Tell us about a clip or short-form edit you are proud of and what made you choose that moment or structure. Your hourly rate must be included in your proposal. Proposals without a rate will not be reviewed. Serious Applicants Only | No AI-Generated Proposals
