Video Editing Assistant (Short Form Content)

Modern Design Aquascaping is a family-owned water feature design and construction company that has been building custom water features since 2002. We specialize in creating high-end koi ponds, waterfalls, streams, fountains, and outdoor living spaces. Through years of experience and collaboration with some of the most respected water feature builders in the world, we have established ourselves as leaders in the industry. In addition to our design and construction work, we actively create educational and project-based content for YouTube, Facebook, Instagram, TikTok, and our website. We are looking for a Video Editing Assistant who can help transform our long-form YouTube and website videos into engaging short-form content for social media. This role is not simply cutting clips and adding captions. We are looking for someone who can identify the most compelling moments from a video and craft them into short-form content that captures attention and tells a complete story. What You'll Be Doing: * Review long-form videos and identify strong short-form opportunities * Create 2-3 short-form videos from each assigned long-form video * Add captions and graphics if needed * Create compelling titles for each short-form video * Communicate with our lead video editor regarding assigned projects * Submit completed videos for review Requirements: * Proven video editing experience * Ability to identify strong hooks and engaging moments * Fast turnaround times and reliable communication * Strong attention to detail * Ability to work independently Preferred Qualifications: * Experience with Adobe Premiere Pro * Experience creating short-form content from long-form content * Understanding of audience retention and storytelling To Apply please include: * Examples of previous short-form content you have edited * A brief introduction about your editing experience Qualified applicants may be asked to complete a short editing test before moving forward.
