Summary

I'm a US-based creative director producing a 10-episode educational video series for a consulting firm. The series covers data centers and their impact on communities, power infrastructure, and local governance. The audience is municipal employees, philanthropic organizations, and NGOs. I need an experienced editor who can deliver clean, professional, and visually engaging episodes that position the client as a trusted thought leader in their field. This is an ongoing engagement through September 2026 — I'm looking for someone who can commit to the full series, not a single episode. The Series: 10 episodes, 10-15 minutes each, interview-style format Four on-camera talent across the series Two-camera setup (2 Sony FX3s) Shot and delivered to YouTube. Visual style: PBS NewsHour meets Vox Explained — authoritative, warm, and objective. We need this tastefully executed. Will provide full documents when selected. Motion graphics style: Last Week Tonight and Megan Lieu — pop-up callouts, animated lower thirds, news article references, data visualizations What You'll Be Editing: Episode 1 establishes the full creative template — motion graphics system, lower thirds, callout style, color grade, and audio treatment. This is the most intensive episode and sets the standard for the entire series. Episodes 2-10 apply that template consistently across remaining footage. Once the template is locked from Episode 1, throughput increases significantly. Deliverables Per Episode: Multicam edit synced from A-cam and B-cam Color grade matched across both cameras Audio mix — dialogue cleaned, leveled, and balanced Motion graphics — pop-up callouts, lower thirds, news article references, data chart animations using client's existing graphics Intro and outro treatment consistent across all episodes Final export optimized for YouTube in horizontal format Skills Required: DaVinci Resolve or Adobe Premiere Pro — proficient Motion graphics in DaVinci Fusion or Adobe After Effects — required Multicam editing experience — required Color grading experience — required Audio mixing and dialogue cleanup — required Experience with educational, corporate, or documentary content — strongly preferred Experience with interview-style formats — required Timeline: Footage delivery to editor: late July 2026 Episode 1 delivery: first week of August 2026 Episodes 2-10: rolling delivery, 2-3 episodes per week through August All 10 horizontal episodes delivered by August 29, 2026 Rate: $30-35/hr. Estimated 10-13 hours per episode for horizontal edit. How to Apply: Please include the following in your proposal — applications that do not address all points will not be considered: One — two to three samples of relevant work. Educational, corporate, documentary, or interview-style content preferred. Show me your motion graphics work specifically. Reels or highlight compilations are not sufficient — I need to see finished long-form episodes. Two — your experience with multi-cam editing and which software you use. Specify whether you work in DaVinci Resolve or Premiere Pro and your proficiency with motion graphics in Fusion or After Effects. (DaVinci Resolve is preferred). Three — your availability for the full series. Can you commit to delivering 2-3 episodes per week throughout August 2026? Four — your hourly rate and estimated hours per episode based on the scope described above. A note on this project: This is a high-visibility series for a consulting firm with a national audience of municipal employees and policymakers. The work needs to be clean, credible, and consistent. Episode 1 will be reviewed by senior leadership before the remaining episodes are approved for production — the standard is high from day one. I'm looking for an editor who takes pride in the details, communicates proactively, and can work independently once the template is established. If you need hand-holding on every decision this is not the right project for you. If you can take a creative brief and execute it with precision and speed — let's talk.
