Video Editor (AI-First) — Remote (D2C Oral Care Ads)
Worldwide
About us We're a fast-growing direct-to-consumer oral care brand selling a premium daily oral-care product worldwide. We grow on paid social, which means our creative is the business. We ship a high volume of video ads every month, and roughly 90% of our production is AI-generated. You'll be paired with a Creative Strategist who feeds you weekly briefs; your job is to turn those briefs into scroll-stopping, on-brand ads — fast, at volume, and at a quality that doesn't look AI-generated. The role We're looking for an AI-first video editor who lives inside Higgsfield and has a real system for producing across formats: mini-VSLs, UGC talking heads, Pixar-style animation, and claymation. Not someone who "can figure out AI tools." Someone who already produces with them daily, knows which model to reach for and when, and has their own repeatable prompting system for both image and video. If you freestyle your prompts and hope for the best, this isn't for you. What you'll do - Produce finished video ads from Notion briefs across mini-VSL, UGC talking-head, Pixar, and claymation formats - Generate your own starting images and video in Higgsfield (we cover all generation costs — don't hesitate to spend tokens) - Build realistic AI UGC talking heads that don't read as AI — believable starting shots, natural motion, real settings - Assemble and finish in CapCut, with clean captions, licensed music, and a balanced audio mix - Work from briefs that sometimes have no visual instructions (just a reference video) — your production system carries it - Maintain our Frame.io asset library: save reusable clips (mechanism/medical animations, AI A-roll, strong B-roll) so the whole team can reuse them, and keep it organized - Hit the sprint cadence, deliver daily (no month-end dumps), and keep your own scorecard up to date - Join weekly creative syncs with your Strategist and Media Buyer over Slack What we're looking for (this is the meat — read it) - Higgsfield expertise, deep. You know the model lineup cold — which model for image, which for video, and when each one wins. You can explain your choices, not guess them. - A systematized prompting workflow. You have a repeatable system for writing image and video prompts that produce consistent, on-brief outputs. You can show it. - Mini-VSLs, ~90% produced in Higgsfield. Extensive, demonstrable experience. - UGC talking heads that look REAL. This is the hardest skill and the one we care most about. You understand that it lives and dies on the starting image — you compile multiple sourced assets into one realistic starting shot (real setting, real color, no dead AI palette), then bring it to life in Higgsfield with camera shake, natural head and hand movement, walking-while-talking, real facial expressions. If your talking heads scream "AI," you're not the one. - Pixar and claymation, with a system. Not one-off luck — a repeatable process for producing these consistently. - Scroll-stopping hooks. You know a hook is the whole game and you can build first frames that stop the thumb. - Comfortable without a storyboard. When a brief is just a reference video and a script, you can produce from your own system. - Organized: naming conventions, clean file storage, disciplined Frame.io library upkeep. - Reliable, self-directed, and communicative on Slack during business hours. Tools you'll use (or already know cold) Higgsfield · CapCut · ElevenLabs (VO) · Notion (briefs) · Slack (comms) · Frame.io (asset library) Compensation - Base: **$1,600 / month** (160 hours / month, ~40 hrs a week) - Uncapped performance bonus — every creative you edit pays you as it graduates through our win tiers (Low Profile Winner → Grand Slam Winner → Super Winner). Full mechanics shared with hires. - Freestyle bonus — once your assigned briefs are done, self-directed creatives you concept and produce pay 2x if they win. - Contract-to-hire. This is a full-time, long-term seat, not a one-off gig. The test Shortlisted editors get a paid test: three briefs — one mini-VSL, one UGC talking head, one Pixar animation. We provide a Higgsfield account and pay you for the test briefs. Produce all three to standard and, if the work is there, we hire. How to apply — read carefully. Applications that ignore this won't be read. 1. Start your application with the word "GRANDSLAM." If it's not there, I stop reading. This is how I know you actually read the post. 2. Send your portfolio/reel— and point me to the exact pieces that are AI-generated. I specifically want to see: (a) an AI UGC talking head that does NOT look AI, (b) a Pixar or claymation piece, (c) a mini-VSL. If it was made in Higgsfield, say so. 3. Tell me your Higgsfield system: which models you use for image vs video and when, and how you keep your prompting consistent. Screenshots or example prompts welcome. 4. Walk me through how you make an AI talking head look real — your actual process for the starting image and the motion, step by step. 5. Your real track record: what AI video ads have you shipped, for whom, and what happened. 6. Can you hit our volume on a daily delivery cadence? Be honest. To be clear on what "~100 ads a month" actually means: each hook variation counts as one ad, so a single concept with 5 hooks is 5 ads. That's roughly 20 concepts a month — not 100 from scratch. Once a concept's script and starting shots are built, the hook variations are fast. Tell me honestly whether that cadence works for you. Skip the polished "tell me about a time…" stories — I want your actual reel and how you work.
