Video Editor For Long Form YT Drum Education Channel (Recurring Work)

We are a YouTube-focused creative agency seeking an Advanced-level video editor/motion designer for long-term collaboration for the channel Drum Beats Online (900k+ subscribers) and filling in here and there for other client's videos. This role will start as a freelance position where you would fill in the gaps whenever our regular editors' plates are full. It is VERY likely that this will quickly turn into a consistent, full work load if desired. Consider this a training ground for people who want to become one of our regular editors. Please review the channel and watch at least the following videos: - POV: You’re Headlining A MASSIVE European Festival - How To Get So Good At Drumming It Scares People - Fixing A Stranger’s Drumming In 14 Minutes. If you cannot replicate and improve the styles of editing in these videos, please do NOT apply. You’ll be tested on this before being hired. Project Scope: Pay is between $500-$750 per project depending on length of video. A project includes one long-form edit. - POV videos: - You will get 3-5 hours of go pro footage from a pro drummer going through a normal tour day + performance. You need to turn that into a captivating story between 20-30 minutes long. - You will be provided with a commentary from the drummer and will need to write a narrative from that in the form of captions to keep the viewer engaged. You will need to be able to adopt the drummer’s natural voice. See existing videos for examples. - Every POV video includes 2-3 songs from the set - we have these professionally mixed, so you don’t have to worry about that. You will need to sync up the mix to the footage. - Educational videos: - You’ll get 1-2 hours of multicam footage and a script and need to create a captivating lesson. - You’ll receive music notation that you will need to animate to sync with what is being played. Because of this you need a basic music understanding. - Drum performances will be professionally mixed. You are responsible for syncing. - Fixing A Random Drummer videos: - You’ll get 2-3 hours of multicam footage and will need to create a captivating story from what you receive. - Drum performances will be professionally mixed. You are responsible for syncing. This job is NOT for you if: * You are NOT a musician (ok if not a drummer) * You're a beginner or intermediate-level editor * You don't speak fluent, conversational English * You're looking for a short-term gig * You’re an agency * You aren’t available for communication for at least 3 hours between 6am-4pm Pacific Standard Time This job is PERFECT for you if: * You play any musical instrument * You're an advanced level editor * You're looking for a long-term opportunity with consistent pay * You’re able to take IRL footage and create an engaging story * You delight in the details of creating top-level videos * You are an excellent communicator and you never miss deadlines Skills Required: * Story-based editing * Creating modern visual assets * Motion Graphics (2D and basic 3D in after effects) * Creative use of titles * Smooth Keyframing * Editing Multicam projects * Expert Color grading * High level Audio editing (eq/sound isolating talking mic and mixing with bg music/sfx) * Effective use of music and sound effects Job Requirements: * Fluent in English * Minimum 4 years video editing experience * Proficient in 2D and 3D motion graphics and YouTube editing techniques * Actively has access to the latest legal versions of either Final Cut, Premiere Pro, or Davinci Resolve * Actively has access to the latest legal version of After Effects * Strong, consistent internet connection, and hardware that is up to the task (computer + at least 4 TB of free storage at all times) * Editor must source all imagery and clips (all content must be copyright-free, licensed, or well within fair-use laws) * Able to contribute copyright-free music * Available to communicate for at least 3 hours during 6am-4pm PST Submissions : Please send applications and include include the following (If everything asked for is not included, I will not consider your application): 1.
