Video Editor — Long-Form YouTube + Short-Form (Reels / TikTok / Shorts)

We run a YouTube channel and podcast focused on spirituality, energy, and conscious living. We’re looking for a talented, reliable video editor to join our team long-term. This is a two-part role: editing polished long-form YouTube videos and finding the best moments in our raw footage to repurpose as short-form content for Instagram Reels, TikTok, and YouTube Shorts. What You’ll Do • Edit raw podcast footage into engaging, well-paced long-form YouTube videos • Watch through footage to identify the strongest hooks, soundbites, and standalone moments • Cut and edit those moments into vertical (9:16) short-form videos optimized for Reels, TikTok, and Shorts • Add captions/subtitles, b-roll, music, text overlays, and basic motion graphics • Use pacing and transitions that maximize viewer retention • Incorporate feedback and revisions in a timely manner Requirements • Proven experience editing long-form YouTube or podcast content (please share examples) • Experience creating short-form vertical content that performs (Reels / TikTok / Shorts) • Proficiency in Premiere Pro, DaVinci Resolve, or Final Cut Pro • Strong sense of pacing and storytelling — you understand what keeps people watching • Ability to add clean, accurate captions and engaging on-screen text • Reliable, communicative, and deadline-driven Nice to Have • Familiarity with spiritual, wellness, or personal development content • Motion graphics or After Effects experience • Thumbnail design skills • Strong understanding of current short-form trends and hooks
